Since we've got a lot of flower talk going on...

...I'm just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as FH and I.

Our ceremony decorations will be handled by the RH, since our ceremony will be there.

We're leaning towards DIY candle centerpieces to cut costs and keep things eco-friendly. I'm crafty, so this helps. Plus, Swan Club has so many flowers outside that I don't think people will miss floral centerpieces. (We're visiting again in a few weeks with my parents, and since our wedding is on 6/20/10, we'll have a good idea of what their late June flowers will look like).

So, we're looking at some bouquets (mine and the two BM's), corsages for the moms, and maybe bouteniers (sp?) for the guys. We may go with the guitar pic bouts for the guys. Anyone else in the same situation? If so, what florists do you reccomend?

im doing centerpieces, but sometimes i question my decision.

recently, i saw pictures from a review (dont remember whose it was) but they had DIY candle centerpieces. it looked GORGEOUS!!!

maybe what you can do is have a few different height candles on each table with rose petals scattered on the table.

maybe you can even do the votive candle place cards to add more candles.. they have a nice romantic feel to them..


im using Laurie from LA Blossom. shes amazing. she works out of her home in huntington. i explained to her what i was going for and our dieas just came together and i cant wait to see what she comes up with! i definitely recommend her!!!

ETA: just check with your RH to make sure they allow open flames!!! some dont!

I'm mixing it up... half tables with flowers that I love and the other half of the tables with cylanders, floating candles and orchid in water.... just couldn't decide, but like the mix.

Oh and I'm using Flowers and Designs by Gina. She's awesome to work with.

we're just using the house florist, but we're getting our candles from here
