This may seem like a strange question, but does it matter what side of the sweetheart table we sit at?
Meaning if facing should the groom be on the left, the bride on the left or doesn't matter?

This is funny...
The other day my friend and I were going through pictures and noticed that I am ALWAYS in EVERY PICTURE when facing us on the right hand side of my FH... and we have tons tons tons of pics...
It was the wierdest thing... So the next morning I even noticed... even when we walk to the train station... I am always on the left of him... so when facing I am on the right. It was so odd.
So most likely in my situation, when facing us groom will be on the left and I on the right. .

So far 3 for groom on left (which would be to the bride's right)
1 for bride on left (groom on her left)
1 doesn't matter

I was told the Bride sits to the left of the Groom... I was always bad at lefts and rights so I can't poll i cause I'm confused LOL!! But thats what I was told!

he needs to be on my right (left, when facing us) because I'm lefty and have serious elbow issues when I eat.

I have only seen brides sit on the right of the grooms, so bride on left when facing the couple. Like the way you walk down the aisle after the ceremony.

If I remember correctly, our bridal attendant seated us at the sweetheart table and she put me on DH's left.
ETA: Oops, I clicked the wrong button on the poll - I was sitting on his left, but if you were facing us at a guest table, I would be on the right, he would be on the left.

I was sitting on Dh's left as well, but honestly I dont think it matters that much

Actually, for us it was more about who was seated around us. Facing the table, grooms's family was at tables to the right and mine was at the tables to the left. We didn't plan it, we just sat down and ended up sitting on the sides that were closer to our families. So...I was on the left when you face the table.

wel if you think about the church ceremony, the bride is always on the left when facing the alter.

The weddings I've been to has always had this: when facing the couple, groom is on the left and groom's family is seated on that side of the room. I'm not sure if there is a reason for this though. I think as long as that side of the couple correspond w/ that side of the family you're safe. But you could always ask your BM if there is a correct side.

I don't know if it matters, but FH is always on my left, whether we are seated next to each other at dinner, or walking down the street holding hands.
