Skin care question: Glycolic Peels or Chemical Peels?
First, does anyone recommend one over the other? I want to refresh my skin, remove dead skin, lighten red marks from past blemishes, and lessen the appearance of fine lines.
Second, can you recommend a salon or dermatologist that does this, please? Suffolk preferably, but Nassau is ok too.

I have never had either of these peels but have you thought about microdermabrasion? it is totally non-invasive and basically uses sand particles to remove the top layer of dead skin. I have done it befroe and you definitely notice a difference in your skin, its much smoother and even toned. Also, no real aftereffects other than a little pinkness. I had it done at American Laser Centers, tehy have locations nationwide.

I have had glycolic peels done a while ago, but not in this area, so I can't recommend anyone. I did want to say make sure you go to a reputable place that is recommended by someone. I worked with someone who had one and they burned her skin - it was actually like that Sex and the City episode. It was painful and embarrassing for her.
I liked the peels. I have acne-prone skin and I thought they improved it a lot.

I had a glycolic acid peel 2 weeks before the wedding at Mario Badescu and I LOVED it!!! My skin looked fantastic and I did not break out or have any redness at all. I hope to continue getting them every 4 months or so...
