Slacker.

I mentioned this in a comment the other day, but I don't know what's wrong with me!

I feel like I never want to be doing the stuff I'm actually supposed to be doing. A few months ago I was alllll about picking out our STD's. Now that we have our e-pics back and should start working on sending them out, I want nothing to do with them.

I went dress shopping once, like a month ago. Before that I was looking at dresses all the time and now that I should REALLY be looking I have no interest.

It's not that I'm sick of planning - I just always seem to obsess about things too early (right now I'm stuck on our invite list even though we have a year!) so that by the time comes for me to actually DO the stuff I'm sick of it already!

Lol this post probably made no sense. I need to get at least one thing done, bc it seems that once I finish one thing I can get a bunch done at once. Then I take a break for another few weeks. I need some motivation!

Your post makes a LOT of sense. I feel the same way. I want to be making programs and writing out thank yous now, but no desire to shop for dresses--which I need to. I feel your pain...

Plan what you want to plan when you're inspired to plan it. This is the most fun you'll have planning anything, so don't make it a chore, and not everyone's pace has to match. I was opening a new business and planning for an OOT wedding on a holiday weekend, so I'm done, but that does not mean YOU are behind!!!! I HAD to be done way early, because there just would not be time now to do a darn thing, but the most important thing is to enjoy yourself and love your choices . . . .

Get 'the big stuff' booked about now, and then take your time on the other stuff (hall is big, ceremony location is big -- the rest you can take your time, unless there is a popular vendor you really want!!) I have a friend who planned her whole 60,000 dollar wedding in 6 months, and then ANOTHER overseas wedding 6 months after that, and they were both amazing . . . .it can all be done.

best i can say set goals.....to be accomplished each month so you only focus on one thing at a time....and dont move on to the next until you get the previous goal complete!

LOL that's it exactly! I really want to make the programs and pick out invites and stuff. it just seems like there's so much stuff you can't do until right before the wedding.

I totally know how you feel. I'm the same way and I'm going thru the same thing. The best motivation advice that I can give you is to remember that YOU ARE THE BRIDE!!!!! This is your day, your chance and your turn to plan what you have been dreaming about since you were a little girl. YOU'RE THE BRIDE!!!!
