Small update on my friend who said I 'stole' her wedding date...
Backstory: a 'friend' of mine got mad at me for 'stealing' her wedding day, because it's their 2 year dating anniv and she wants to get married on that day. She wasn't engaged yet, but said it was wrong for us to get married on that date regardless.
Well... she had been big-time pressuring her boyfriend to propose on her birthday... and her birthday was yesterday.... and from what I've heard there was no ring .... and no proposal!
Am I a horrible person for being secretly happy about this?

i think she has balls to tell you you 'stole' her date---seriously ppl are so silly sometimes.
and since she is 'pressuring' her man for a proposal---yeah i'd be a little secretly happy about the no . people should get engaged cause they WANT to--not because one is pressuring the other

Nope I would be happy about it too! You cant pressure someone into wanting to marry you. It will only back fire in the end

2 year dating anniversary? I was dating for a little over 5 years when I got engaged. Maybe that's why the guy didn't propose yet? Maybe he's not ready??? Guys like to wait many, many years.
And anyhow - a 2 year dating annivesary is just that. A dating anniversary. I always remember the date FH and I met, and when we officially started dating .. but I don't celebrate it, and I certainly wouldn't give two sh!ts if a friend of mine wanted to get married on that date - ESPECIALLY IF I WAS NOT YET ENGAGED. People can be so ridiculous. How old is she, 17?

I agree! FH and I were dating just under 5 years when he proposed, and it will be 2 weeks before our 6 year anniv when we get married.
I admit I would have liked to get married on our anniv, but it just wasn't practical with my school schedule.

I can't stand when ppl act like you 'stole' something when it wasn't even their's. If she was already engaged and already booked a hall for that date, THEN you would have stole her date. BUT she's not even engaged! You can't steal something that's not someone's to steal!

I would also be secretly happy as well but also I wouldn't rub it in her face.
Honestly it's karma coming to haunt her when she said you stole her date.

I can't believe she would have the nerve to say that THAT date was only reserved for her. I'm sure shes only just jealous that you are getting married and shes not even engaged. why else would she be so petty??
