After 9 years of employment - I am out of a job at the end of January! I was laid off! What a SHOCK! AND MY 30th BDAY is Saturday ..

What a way to start my 07 year! ******************** UPDATE! 1/11 - Hey girls, I just realized this was bumped due to a FM I received, I haven't really been on this week, I have been busy feeling sorry for myself, trying to find a job and deciding what I want to do, which is still up in the air, I have two interviews in the morning, one I know am not interested in, it is further than I am now doing the same work I am currently doing...not interested, but I figure i iwll be in the area for the first interview so why not get the 'interview experience'. The first one is at a staffing agency so I am HOPING they can help me figure out a job that I iwll love, seeing as they know what kinds of jobs are out there. So anywayk, I have good days and bad days, I am trying to get through this. I really again thank you all for your support and great advice, I will look into it all!
OH ps - FH threw me an AMAZING surprise 30th bday on Saturday, It was bitter sweet but an amazing night, I really should post some pics, but I have been lazy!

I'm so sorry that this has happened!! You've gotten a lot of support here, and some possible connections! One thing I've found helpful, when you're ready, is to try to get a plan together. For some reason, when you have an agenda, it seems more manageable. Just from this thread: Contact unemployment, utilize helpful websites, contact recruiters, and call in every favor you've ever done. Friends and family can sometimes come through with contacts you never knew they had. Best of luck, I just know that something better is down the road for you!

i'm so sorry - especially after 9 years!! i got the same speech one month before my wedding (don't see me in their plan). i pathetically begged for my job, then in the end decided that they should go to h - e - ll! (and also learned never to beg for a job - ugh!!) something BETTER will come around!!!! in the meantime, here are some
