small weddings?

Re: small weddings?

we invited 78, and we're expecting about 60.

We are in a mid-sized room with a CH and buffet, and are having a dj, florist, cake cutting, limo... most of the standard fare.

We are having a very small bridal party (1 MOH, one BM, and one best man), and becuase of that, we have no official BM dress or tux. They're all on their own. I believe it will give the pics a nice homey / retro feel to see everyone dressed in their own outfits.

We're also ignoring the bo-k toss (most of my friends and family are 35+, that would be ridiculous!) and garter deal, the introduction of the bride and groom, and the toasts.... just keeping it informal....

I wont say it's small just only about 175 people :)
But we arent having the sit down dinner...I paid more for the DJ and Bar then anything All of my guest are party animals...and no suprises as stated on invite.....'Elegant Adult Cocktail Reception'

Instead of throwing bouquet I will be playing some sort of game to fancy it up a bit :)

I love this idea! So much fun!

Every time I go to a vendor and talk to people were the number of guests come up, I get the impression they think we are cheap.

It is none of their business regardless.

I had sich a hard time finding a hall to accomadate us. Anyone lese have that problem?

I had some issues finding a place b/c I didn't know that halls actually catered to such small parties!

I have also run into certain people who think that I am cheap or that my wedding isn't as important as another one because of the number on my guest list.

We're having a REALLY small, intimate wedding, only inviting like 65 people... we just want to celebrate with our closest friends n family, and everyone we are inviting is from out of town, or out of the country...soo obviously we can't expect them all to be able to make it.

But we're pretty much doing everything the same as people with larger weddings...just on a smaller scale of course.

I am having a small wedding. I invited about 100 - including children. I expect about 75. We are still having it at a hall with the whole cocktail hour, etc... but just with less folks!
