Smithtown landing?
Hi there! I'm considering Smithtown Landing as a venue for my 2014 wedding. It seems to be close to what I want (I really loved Old Field Club but I'm heading they are VERY overpriced).Anyone have a wedding there and care to share their thought? I'm planning to have between 100 and 125 people and I was hoping for something a little more rustic, but this might have to do since it's in my price range...

I've never been to a wedding there but I did tour the venue. It's very charming and it's lessings facility so I'm sure the food is amazing. They have great reviews and they're very reasonably priced. Timber point (another lessings) gave my sister a great deal for a Saturday in March last year, they're def willing to negotiate.

I went to a showcase there and I thought it was very cramped and I didn't care for the food. The grounds are beautiful though. Also there is a golf club there that is open to members, so I'm not sure if that factors into your decision. I didn't want anyone on the premises that wasn't staff or part of my wedding.

I was not in love with it, they can do many events at a time and that it was a little outdated. I've heard the Riviera in Massapequa is sort of rustic and also reasonably priced.

This was our runner up venue. Lessings has great food and you can't beat the price. Also, Rich, the guy you would be working with is GREAT. So flexible and really accommodating.

I was just married there on 10/6 of this year and I cannot say enough good things about the food, venue, staff and experience. Everyone that came is still raving about the food, the atmosphere and everything that went with it. We had 118 people total, invited somewhere in the 150 range and it was by no means cramped at all. FM me if you have any specific questions. If you do book there you will NOT be disappointed in the slightest.

Not sure where you got your info from but they can't do 'many' events at a time as they only have 1 main ballroom and two smaller rooms that are used for cocktail hour. None of their rooms are connected so even if they had a smaller event going on you would never even know it.

Jovigirl414 had her wedding there in august of 2011. I went to her cocktail hour and the food was very good. I even looked there for my wedding, and although it was very nice and Rich was super friendly and helpful, we opted for a waterfront venue. She had her ceremony there as well and it was really pretty. Read her review. I know she posted about it in there. HTH!Welcome New Vendors
