FH mom did that and she hasn't been smoking for 5 months and she used to smoke like 1 1/2-2 packs a day.

I only smoke when Im drinking or having coffee or if I ate something heavy usually a cig makes it better. I try not to smoke during the week even though sometimes I crave it bec of stress from work. FH got me into it but he quit

i've smoked on and off for a long time. fh and i quit at new years, cold turkey. well, i do have a few when i'm out... alcohol and big meals trigger my cravings. but i can go months w/o smoking. and i'm glad that having one once in a while hasn't caused any major setbacks. let's hope i can keep it up.
but i will def be smoking @ the wedding, i know it.

Re: Smoking

I was so addicted, I never thought I would stop and then 2 and a half yrs ago I got a bad virus and quit cold turkey. I still miss it believe it or not and I gained sooo much weight when I quit. You don't realize what an appetite suppresant it is until you don't have it anymore. My mom and step dad did that laser treatment and they haven't smoked in over 6 months. You can all do it when you are ready to

Re: Smoking

ya the one thing i DON'T miss is the smell. not that my clothes ever reeked, but i used to smoke in my apartment, even with the windows open and fan... but the faint smell lingered. i think it's finally gone!

Re: Smoking

good luck to the girls trying to quit - i know it is hard! seriously it took a doctor looking at me and saying: 'if you were not a smoker you would have a cold right now and thats it' meanwhile i was suffering through constant bronchitis - i even had to use an asthma inhaler! Before that I had quit so many times and it didnt work!

Hope you girls get your *lightbulb* moment! he he Oprah word!

I consider myself 'in the process of quitting'. I quit using the patch in September. I didn't smoke for 2 months and I've been on and off since then. I haven't smoked for almost two weeks again. The hardest part is when I'm drinking! Other than that its mind ovre matter

Yeah drinks and cigs mix very well and its hard when all my friends are smoking. I am not addicted but for me its just a bad habit when I am out with friends
