Re: Smoking

UGGGGGGG this has been something that i have been struggling with FOREVER!!!!!!!

i quit twice - the first time was for like 8 months then i went back for like a year. the second time i quit for OVER A YEAR & i just started smoking again this past october.... my old job was actually one of the reasons i started (bad excuse i know!)

FH has quit & started up again just like me.... so now we are both smoking again & i really want to stop ASAP - but like some of these other girls said, i'll quit when im ready!!!

OMG cigarettes are soo expensive!! Just calculate how much money you would save by quitting!

This is so true!! FH and I both smoked, I smoked for 10 years, and a week after we got engaged we both quit cold turkey, not only for our health as we start a new life together, but mostly because we needed to save money for the wedding (terrible but true).

I still have a cigarette maybe twice a month when we go out drinking, but I haven't bought a pack since Sept! I've put on at least 25 pounds though, which is sooo annoying and its been so difficult to take it off but in the long run it will be worth it!

FH took the pill and changed his routing...he also used the patch and gum. He said the most important thing was changing the routine...like is you usually pick up cigarrets on your way to work, try to drive a different way so you don't have an opportunity. Fh quit for my birthday in September!!!

Trying to quit.

I started reading 'The Easy Way to Stop Smoking' - and it started to work but I wasn't ready to quit so I stopped. I'm gonna pick it up again this summer.

i used to smoke...
now im addicted to coffee

FH used to smoke A LOT, on and off tried to quit...
now hes smoking less, but on a diet and exercise program... he tired to do it all at once, but i almost killed him!!!

i told him that when we plan on having kids he needs to quit or REALLY cut down, and to plan on no smoking around me.

I'm not a smoker but FH is. He's going to go on that commit lozenge and is going for bloodwork tomorrow so he can start right away. I can't wait for him to stop.. I keep saying to him, 'what are you going to do? leave our reception every 20-30 mins to have a smoke!? I don't think so!'

Good luck to all you ladies!!

Yes, instead of the cigarette killing you, you develop high blood pressure from the salt in the seeds. You cant win!
