sneakers

I think its about comfort...I dont think ANYONE will see my flip flops, my dress is too long, as are many of them , and again who cares what anyone else thinks? Its your day!

NOOO. Girls - i promise that you can see the shoes. A friend wore white shoes with a dark ivory dress and you could see it in the photos and all through the wedding. You'd be surprised how often you pick it up or your foot sticks out.

Get comfy shoes but my advice is not to resort to flip flops or sneakers for 2 very specific reasons:
1) both are tough to dance in - they stick to the floor and I think the flip flops are very tough to keep on - sp when you have to worry about a long dress
2) It's your wedding! Presumably you do it once and why not dress consistently. If you wwear a formal dress - wear formal shoes. Don't look back in 10 years and wonder What was I thinking?
I know people say comfort is #1 and I agree it is important but you can find comfortable shoes - even if you have to wear flats. Just don't wear sneakers - esp those with lace that were popular in the 80s and 90s.

now that you mention it ... the last wedding i went to .. the bride wore flipflops and everyone was talking abouyt them.. there are a number of times they were very obvious!
i think i will stick with satin slippers.. more lady like haha

I have no choice but to were sneakers for my wedding. I had already bought my bridal shoe (heels) for the wedding, but since I broke my foot last week I won't be able to wear them. The doctor told me that if (and that is a big 'If) my cast is off for the wedding, a bridal shoe is most definately out of the question. I must wear a sneaker.

I will be happy wearing anything, just as long as it is not a cast!!!!
