SNL Last night - so is it HOT to....
lipsync??? LMAO!

Anyone see this? Funny thing is after her first set we had enough and were like, is she? could she be lipsyncing? So ddin't get to see second set... but thanks to the internet we do! LOL

I was watching it last night. I yelled to Felicia to get out of the other room...she missed it unfortunately, but I saw it. I was embarassed for her....until......
5 minutes later she blames it on her 'band playing the wrong song'? Nice passing the blame for her lack of talent, eh?

BUT I think most of them lipsync. SO pathetic. But then again people like madonna and janet and britney do in concert too. BUT her sister has talent. I don't think Jessics lipsyncs.

Madonna does not lipsynch in concert. And if she does, it's not the whole concert like Britney does. With Madonna, you can hear her taking breath and getting winded from running around on stage.
Most artists lip synch on SNL because SNL wants to make sure that the performer is on key. Which is also the reason why most people lip synch in concert and on award shows.

OMG.She couldn't even just turn around and start singing that song anyway? She would have looks a bit stupid but she totally looks like an idiot (IMO) for just walking away. Does she not even know the lyrics from her 'hit single' from memory?
If SNL wants them to lipsync so they are not offkey then maybe they should think twice about having them on SNL in the first place.
Plus, not every musical guest lipsyncs. I have seen bands on SNL in the past (I cannot think of anyone specific) and you know they are not lipsyncing, it sounds live, not like the CD version.
Perhaps Ashlee can only sing if the sound engineers at the recording studio play with the recordings

I could not believe how poorly she handled this. I am not a fan, but doing a 'hoedown' was so lame. And then blaming the band afterward was even worse.I though SNL didn't let their performers lip sync.....oh well.

SO true. In the old days (ok I'm dating myself here) SNL would pride themselves on showcasing the best performers out there and it was always a LIVE performance
Her 'hoedown' (
) was insane. That was the worst part of it all.. her lame attempts at dancing and then just handling it SOOO BADLY by (a) walking off stage and (b) having the audacity to 'blame' her band. Heck at least they were doing something 'live'I could care less if she lipsyncs - I think most of realize this has, sadly, become the norm of a lot of these pop singers. But the reason this is garnering so much attention is that she made an idiot of herself by being so unprofessional.

DH and I were watching. It used to be that on SNL performers were not allowed to lipsync. I remember watching Fiona Apple sound like a$$, but at least she was actually singing. I am so tired of these 'pop stars' that have a look and no talent. If you can't sing live you should find something else to do with your life!!!!!!
