Snow is coming and I am not happy! My job is making me hate when it snows... Working a twelve hour shift from 7pm-7am for a week or two straight can do that to you... Especially when it might happen during the holidays...

Yeah I work for NYC Sanitation Dept.... I used to love the snow especially playing football in it... But my job takes the fun out of it...

i love the snow when it first comes down...but living in the city...it quickly turns into dirty mush...not so pretty!

Brian your not the only one that hates the snow, my FH hates it too. He works for the town of hempstead and he's already scheduled for OT for the weekend for a different project. But snow means more OT for snow clean up and then also snow clean up for houses that he does landscaping for. So i may never see him if it snows

I LOVE SNOW!!! But I dont like getting stuck at work in the snow gettin stuck at home is the best i dont go to work when it snows its too far and im not risking my life for my crappy job

true, but you get used to it. my brother & his family lived there for a year & a half. when i went to visit in september it was 95 degress outside, like 100 inside & they only had a fan on. no AC.

luckily i finished my christmas shopping yesterday instead of waiting until saturday. FH on the other hand, hasn't even started yet. we also got our tree last night, so we will be decorating while snowed in saturday.
