Ok, so one of JT's friends is getting married next weekend. We only found this out when another one of our friends was talking about it. The friend getting married is in the army and so we hadn't heard he was getting married since they just got engaged a few months ago. Now, JT was PISSED that we weren't invited, but we were like whatever, one less gift to buy! But ALL of our friends were invited. Fine. That's not what we're upset about....... What we're pissed about is this: Last night JT gets an email that is sent to like a list of 40 guys and it's inviting them all to this guy's bachelor party....so not only did they have the balls to not invite us and not even tell us about the wedding, they had the balls to still invite JT to the bachelor party AND, AND....there's a list in the email of ten guys...one being JT that says after the list: Just because the wedding's a small affair, doesn't mean the bachelor party has to be! Um, SMALL affair? We already know it's a HUGE a$$ wedding. How insulting is that? ARGH! JT and I were so pissed. Ok, had to vent that. I think people are so freaking stupid!

Wow - I would be so angry with that. Is JT considering going to the bachelor party? Personally I wouldn't go and I would tell the friend that it kinda sucks that I wasn't invited and so I'm not so comfortable going to the bachelor party. I would be honest but respectful about it.

Is it possible that you just didn't receive an invitation? (mail problems?)

Re: So aggravated....VENT
Nope. We definitely were NOT invited to the wedding. The email for the bachelor party even stated that. It had a list of the guys who were not invited to the wedding and that's where is said, 'Even though the wedding is a small affaid, the bachelor party doesn't have to be!' But like 20 something of our friends were all invited with their significant others. And JT is DEFINITELY NOT going to the party. He was like, yeah, whatever, f off! He's not even responding to the guy. He figured if he was that rude about the bachelor party, rude enough to point out to everyone on the list, that JT was not invited, then he's not even going to dignify it with a response. I just thought it was so rude. And this is a guy JT would hang out a lot with. Freaking people.

That's very strange. It's someone he hangs out with a lot and all your friends were invited. That's just very strange. I think I would have to have a talk with them after the wedding. Find out why that happened.

I have never heard of anything so RUDE!!!!! Not only is it bad enough to not invite you, but to point it out on an email and still expect him to participate in the BP!!

I guess I am in the minority but I think that is ok. In fact, last year a friend of mine from school got married. I promised to throw her a bachelorette party even though I was not in the wedding party. I invited everyone from school. People had a blast! They seemed to think it was nice to be part of her big day even if they weren't close enough to be invited.

See, now, it would be one thing if his friend TOLD US he was getting married and explained, even lied, to us that he couldn't invite us. He just never said anything and basically never planned to.
