Yes, we were 'persuaded' to stay. I was there for a total of 6 weeks. We were told that if we were 'scared for our lives' then we could leave. We knew it would mean our jobs, one way or the other.
Kat and I work for the same company - well....not for long b/c she's leaving me.

You HAVE to talk to my friend Edel who went to a wedding there a couple of years ago...she came home a week earlier than planned...according to her she will NEVER visit India again.
this is the common sentiment we get from other folks that have gone!
Even without the monsoons and the flooding, it was not a very hygenic place to be around and she stayed in New Delhi...pigeons were a MAJOR problem. In any event, good luck
