OK, how disgusting is it that FH paid the same thing in taxes (almost exactly) this past year that I MADE?? It drives me nuts that I spent 7 years and hundreds of thousands of dollars on my education and my wonderful, smart, successful FH with nary a college degree is making soooooo much more than me (this is in NO way a slam on anyone who does not have a degree, so please don't take it that way). It's just so wrong on so many levels.
On the plus side, he's the reason why I can still eat and have a roof over my head and buy pretty things once in a while!

Re: So disgusting and unfair!
Jannshari I am SO happy you and others feel the same way I do. I too am NOT knocking those who did not (or could not) go to college. I have two degrees which resulted in a fair share of debt as well. I am one of those people TwoBugs was talking about, I have drive and motivation and yearn to climb up the ladder.....I bust my a$$ and still make crap! How is it that someone without a H.S. diploma can be a GM for McDonald's and be making $50-60k, benefits, 40lK, the whole 9???

Re: So disgusting and unfair!
Ok...here is some input from someone on the other side. I graduated from law school almost two years ago. After clerking for a year I am now making a pretty good salary. Infact, I make almost three times what I made clerking (working for the federal gov't). But, I work my a$$ off. Although my job is really interesting and exciting at times since I work for a big firm and we handle pretty high profile cases, I think about quitting on a weekly basis! So...like they say...the grass IS always greener.
And Gaby, don't worry. I didn't go to an ivy league law school but, I graduated top of my class and was on law review and I had plenty of job offers. Just MAKE SURE you do well if you are looking for a high paying job.
