ok soo after talking about our favors tonight with Fh...(the favors were his idea haha) we discussed colors and a possible theme
we came up with this:
we both love wine well me more but i wanted to add something about our personality into our wedding and i couldnt think of anything related to our relationship (like being a long distance relationship for so long since he is in the military) so we went with the wine idea
and our colors are mocha with ivory and a light green color but will the wine theme go with those colors??
when we say wine theme we are going to use corks as our placecards and have table names instead of #'s and do all different wine names!! I just loved the cork idea when i saw it on someones wedding review from having it at Vineyard Caterers!! haha

that si sa really cute idea. i was into the wine theme also... but i changed it bc things jsut werent flowing properly. i was getting over whelming. they have so many different things you can add as little touches for the 'vineyard' weddings.

I forget where I saw but there is an online store that makes corks as placecards holders...I will post if I find.

I think that is a great idea. We are doing a wine theme as well but are not using the corks. Instead our placecard table will be the normal tents with votive candles around and in the center we are doing this glass bowl thing that looks like there are grapes and floating candles except the grape looking things are actually marbles.
Our table names will also be wines but we are putting one bottle of our favorite wine on each table (along with the centerpeice) wrapped in gold organza bag and will hang the table name from the neck of the bottle with a gold rope thing (hard to explain). This is what the bottles will look like. I saw this somewhere on this site.
The bottle will be an extra something for someone to take.
Or you can also do the wine bottle stoppers as favors. They have them on a lot of different websites

I think the wine bottle as favors is a great idea. I was also thinking naming the tables with the theme instead of numbers. I'm not wine savvy but I thought that was cute. I did a quick search.

Thanks everyone!!! Yeah last night FH was on a roll thinking of ideas...I think he is finally getting excited about the wedding especially since he will be coming home in less than 30 days and we will booking alot!!!

i just am curious as to how to do the cork as a placecard holder...since they are round how do you get htem to stay haha and do you have to make a slit through them in order to hold the placecard in it haha
