It's funny because if you search, you will find that girls have posted their package prices all over this site. It's just that they were all lined up that made it obvious.
The way I see it, if you don't want people posting the prices you gave them, you have something to hide!

Personally, I wouldn't talk to any DJ or catering hall that wouldn't give me a price range over the phone or via email. I had a definite date when I called, which is probably why the catering halls seemed to have no problem telling me what the price range was before I wasted everyone's time going to see the place if I couldn't afford it. I also did not want to even go look at places out of my range, fall in love with them, and then either get talked into spending a LOT more money, or be disappointed with what I did end up with because I was being unrealistic in the first place.
Many of the DJs, or DJ companies, on the other hand did NOT want to give me prices without meeting me. Frankly, I don't have the time to sit and politely watch your videos if I know you are way out of my range. Tell me the range, if I can afford it, then I will come in and talk to you so I don't waste my time. I see my time as very valuable and with a fiance that was working in the city, it was very difficult to make some of the appointments we did choose to make.

I am not dealing w/Vendors unless they give me information in advance, in regards to their packages and their prices...I've been telling them IN ADVANCE that I work OUT OF STATE and I do not have the time or resources to MEET with them. I've gotten a VERY positive response from every vendor I've spoken to, and they're fantastic. I think the ONLY vendor I wanted to meet w/in person was the Reception Hall, and ONLY after I got referrals or estimates through the wedding sites, their website, or others who have used them.
You'll have to lie, apparantly to get what you want....So sad.
