So I went to Zales here on 34th street this past weekend, an ordered my wedding bands.. The girl that helped up pick out the rings was nice.. But the girl that was putting all the info in her system or whatever, had the personality of a wet smelly mop… Anyway I went in yesterday to pick up mine and my FH's bands.. The brainiacs sized my band to his size 11!!! And didn’t size his ring at all…Hello… normally if you would see a girls band and a guys band, u wouldn’t size the girls band to an 11!!! Dumba****!! So it took me like 30 minutes to explain to the guy at the counter that they sized my ring to my FH's size.. Finally it took them another 15 minutes to try and correct the information, and they promised me that they would put my sizing priority in front of all other orders since they screwed up, and that it would be done today… Well………… I just called and Its not ready!! They don’t know when it will be ready as the jewelry is backed up… So much for putting my order as priority!!!!He told me to check back around 530.. Well that’s the time I leave work.. I live in queens and Im not going to come back into the city over the weekend to pick up my ring.. So I wouldn’t be able to get it until Tuesday.. I feel like telling them if my ring isnt ready when I call at 530 to cancel my order and shove it up there a** … aaghhhhhhhhhhhhh… Thank you for allowing me to vent!!

Thats no fun! I am sorry to hear about your ring problem. I hope it gets fixed soon for you. You don't need to be dealing with stuff like this! FH and I are hopefully going this weekend to pick out his ring. I hope we don't run into any problems.

I'm sorry your so angry! I now that must be frustrating. You should try speaking with a manager at that specific location or a customer service representative form cororate for Zales and tell them what happened. They should knock off some $$ for their mistake and for not having the rings done AGAIN at the promised time.
Whenever I have an issue like that I always speak to a manager or will call corporate and usually get a better response and service from then as opposed to speaking to a sales person.
Hopefully venting helped you a little

I spoke to the manager yesterday and he gave me jewlery cleaner and a ring stand... I think after I get the rings, Im going to email there offices and try to get money off

You should have them order a brand new ring to size. It's not good to size something too much, especially if you and FH's ring size are more than 3 sizes off. It could make stones loose and they could be at risk of falling out!

Hey, another date twin!
Make sure that they're giving you a NEW ring, not the one that had been sized to an 11 sized back down again. It's not going to look the same, and if it has stones, as someone pointed out, they could be loose. You don't want to lose the stones. It's their mistake, and a stupid one, so they should fix it properly.

I was just going to suggest that but then do you really know if they got you a new ring or just telling you that? Sorry you're having such a tough time. People really are dumb.

I've had major problems with Zales. FH got my engagement ring there. It's gorgeous, but one of the prongs were crooked. I brought it back and they asked me if I had banged it on something. Then they took it and sent it out to be fixed. A week later it was 'ready'. FH picked it up, brought it home and I swear, it's worse. I'm about to bring it back again. I want to get our bands from there, because there is a particular ring that I love, but I am so scared to!!!
