How much have you done so far? 2006 seems so far away but, I said this when I got engaged and it has already been 6 months.

I am gettng married on 11/3/06, and we booked our hall, the church, the DJ, and the photographer. Basically all of the bigger ticket items that will have increases in price after every day of mass engagements (i.e christmas, new years, valentines day). I would not rush but start looking, if you find one, then book when you feel comfortable. You can never be too prepared. Trust me, I can now take other decisions in stride. The one thing I realized, is that everyone is going tell you that yu are looking too soon, honestly, Don't listen to them, it is your day and you are excited book when YOU feel comfortable, if you want to book early then book early, there is absolutely no harm. Ekk! Me too! Feels like it was just yesterday taht we got engaged and it's been 5 months!
All we have is the church and hall booked. I am on a quest to finr DJ, photo & video, florist and dress!
Want to have ALL (or as many as possible) vendors booked by June!

We have our hall, our priest, DJ, photography/videoagrapher, and I put a deposit on the dress.
I was also able to lock in prices on my vendors that have gone up since we signed our contracts.

We have our church, hall, photographer, & I found my dress! We are currently looking at DJ's & hoping to book by the end of the week. As for limos & florists, I am waiting until after summer of 2005. BM dresses will be my summer project!

Feels like I got engaged yesterday & it will already be 9 months! We have our church, hall, photographer/videographer...I have my dress ordered since Nov & the BM dresses also. I am planning to meet with the florist either this week or next...we still have to figure out either band or dj...FH & I are going January 9th to the Narriott in Uniondale for a showcase...I am hoping to have that booked by March...
Opps forgot, I have my shoes too!

we have booked: the church, the hall, photo/video and the limos. we are waiting on everything else, because i really don't know what kind of flowers i want, and to me, it seems like a waste to go when i have no idea what i want to do. we booked all this in one week in sept and august. i say book early and you get the rates for 2005 and you have time to save the $$ you need to pay the vendors.

We've booked everything except the florist. I am hoping to do that very soon. We have a lot of the smaller things like tiara, favors, cake topper, STD's, cake servers done as well.
I just can't wait to to able to say 'Im getting married next year' because when you say 2006 right now people make it seem like it's sooooooooo far away.

I only have my hall. We booked in November and the Holidays just took up too much of my time. In January, I'll go back to planning and start with DJ, then Photographer & Videographer. Then I think I'm okay for a little bit.
I do have a question. I am getting married at my hall and need to find a minister. How important is that to do now? Should that be my next item on my list. I have to shop around. I have some reccomendations from people, but I still have to meet and interview with them.

I have my dress, booked the hall, booked photo/video, and am now looking at florist and djs. I have to start looking for a rabbi, and i know what bridesmaids dresses i want but some of my girls feel its too early but I love them and im afraid they wont have them in the summer

I just got engaged in October yet it seems as if it was yesterday. I am the fourth girl in my family to get married so my mom was on me pretty quick to book some stuff. So far we have booked the church, priest, hall, DJ, and photographer. I am in the process of looking for bridesmaids dresses, florist, and my gown.

I've got the hall and church booked. January and February are for photo/video and either DJ or flowers - just trying to take it a bit at a time. Don't plan on dress shopping until the summer.
I have other things started, like the programs - just because I'm always looking for distractions from work!
