so how do you manage?

do you have a separate account with money aside just for the wedding? or do you just use your checks to pay...

How do you manage without going broke!!?

we don't have a acct set up. i'm not sure if we're gonna but who knows. I have my savings and i guess i'm just gonna transfer $ into my checking when i pay vendors.

We have a joint account. I have my own account though because umm yeah FH is bad with money so I have to watch the spending.


But our joint savings account is our wedding fund money. So we make sure to put money in it each time we get paid or when we get a check for birthdays, taxes ect.

I pay for everything out of my pay

FH contributes to our savings (sep for the wedding) and I have in the past. This will be used for final payments and we will probably have left over

We both have sep savings accounts for our house DP

Thankfully my parents are paying for everything (I feel guilty saying that on here)

But I have been taking out $200 a month to get ready for my cousin's wedding and the stuff my parents aren't paying for...like the bp gifts...

FH says i overreact all the time when i tell him we need budget! he says 'calm down we'll pay for it don't worry' I think i am going to have to put envelopes with names of each vendors and put money into it with each check so that i have some save ...FH just doesn't get it we need a house or apartment! he keeps telling me to calm down but i just don't want him to pay for the majority of the things!

I think that's a good way to do it...if it's not in the account you won't use it...but just don't go dipping into the stash...ya know??

we set up a joing acct to save for the wedding as soon as we got engaged...we have some of both of our paychecks go into the acct every 2 weeks..we do not take anything out of the acct except to pay for wedding stuff...

our parents are paying for about 1/2 the wedding but we will have to pay for the other half..so we gotta keep saving!

We have a seperte account, but its been tough. It never has much in it until its time to pay a bill... this money stuff is stressin me out! Fh thinks it will all just work out..i think we might end up living in a box...lol

We set up a savings account with ING. i put a little bit of money each month from there from my paycheck, and FH puts in money in there as well (just at all diff times!)

This is also what we are doing but we are paying for it all. It is a little daunting but I think it will be okay.

I think that is a good idea.

Me and FH are lucky because we have our Down Payment taken care of already

If we didn't we wouldn't be having a wedding

we have a wedding account and then we each have our own checking accounts for our own bills and spending money.

we have a set amount of money that we deposit into the wedding account every week. plus anything extra goes in there...birthday checks, rebates, rolled coin, tax checks, bonus checks. i also do 'keep the change' from bank of america...everytime you use your debit card it rounds up and deposits money (if i spend 3.50 it will round it to $4 and transfer .50) i saved almost $100 in change in about 3 months...every penny counts!

oh and we took the money we got from our e-party and put it in a CD so it collects some interest
