so how do you manage?

do you have a separate account with money aside just for the wedding? or do you just use your checks to pay...

my mom is paying for like, 95% of the wedding...she has a separate checking account she puts money into..my name is also on it so i can add money when i get the chance

we don't have a acct set up. i'm not sure if we're gonna but who knows. I have my savings and i guess i'm just gonna transfer $ into my checking when i pay vendors.

Seperate account..... every time i get paid i put a chunk into the wedding account... also my job takes some $$ out every week n puts it in another account so thats more $ towards the wedding.. i lock up the debit cards so i cant spend it lol

I have a certain amount of my paycheck go into a special savings account....the bank it goes to is our credit union, so I don't have an ATM card for the account and the hours are awful so it makes it near impossible for me to spend that money!

So far he's been giving me his half and I put it into my checking with my share of the payments...

But we are going to open a joint account that is primarily for the wedding expenses.

I JUST opened up a new account for wedding savings at ING today. My parents saved some for our wedding from when I was little which will pay for about half and I have a recurring deposit that puts a certain amount in every week from my paycheck. Also, any overtime and extra money that I come across goes into the account.

I have a savings account, but we are trying desperately not to use that. We worked out a budget and I FH surrendered to me all his cards for our credit/bank accounts....

We have a separate account. I am the primary contributor, since FH owns his own condo and has mortgage payments while I live at home. I have an ATM card for it, but I never use it. Right now we are only paying the RH, but have used it to put down a deposit for the DJ. The saving is definitely intense for me (a full paycheck every month at least), but I NEVER touch the money. I actually don't even have the wedding account at my regular bank, so I can't just transfer money willy-nilly.

Right after we got engaged we opened a joint checking account and we were supposed to put in an equal amount of money each month. But whenever I have a little extra I throw it in. Like my income tax- I put in half of what I got. We still both have our own seperate checking accounts to pay our other bills

since i am only working part time still, i am not saving anything to pay for my share of the wedding. (video, photo, limos, invites) once i am finished with school i will be on a strict savings schedule.

We each have our own account and a joint one. Each pay check we deposit a certain amount in there in order to save for the wedding and a down payment on a house.

So far all my payments have been from money we got from our e-party, as well as the money I make from selling Cookie Lee. I havent touched my regular paycheck yet

well the agreement was to set up a wedding savings account and each week we would put what we could in and no less then a certain amount. I set up the account and ever since I set it up FH job has not been giving him too many hrs he went from in the summer working at least 55-60 hrs a week to now less then 40.

Its a very hard hit for us so as of now I am trying to save as much as I can and even that is hard since I am helping alot due to bills.

I try to just stay positive and think it will all work out!

We have a joint account and than our own seperate accounts, than I also have an ING direct account that I stash money in for those just in case moments.

My FH is incharge of my money and my spending. I am a first class shopaholic (I'm not kidding, I used to shop either online or in a store EVERYDAY) so I put my finances in his hands for the soul fact that I can't trust myself.

I complain constantly about the money flying away... I have to keep telling myself that it's going to be worth it in the end.

I'm all about the optimism as well, times are tough here too, hope that everyday I will still have my job, same for FH. Just have to hope for the best :).
