wedding planning? I think throughout the next year we will all be pretty busy and stressed- but so far how has it been? For me it hasnt been too painful- Ive actually had alot of fun planning- except the little situation with FMIL and second guessing my vendors but whatever...
How is everyone else doing?

It's been a little stressful... at first I got carried away and stressed myself out unnecesssarily, and then Jeff and I chose a reception venue my parents didn't like, which caused some tension, and now we're back to looking again... but now my parents have gotten involved, which is nice because I really did need the help, but, well, it means that my parents are involved... and my poor dad who stresses out unnecessarily about everything is once again making mountains out of molehills...
It is fun though, and exciting, for all the ups and downs. We took this weekend off from visiting reception venues, which I think we really needed. It will just be nice to have a place booked and feel like there is something under my belt!
And if this is what it's like two years in advance, I'm a little frightened for how things will be just a few months before the wedding...

I really enjoy it. The boards makes me have something to look forward too each day. I also have all my major vendors booked so now all I have to do is worry about paying them next year.
I really dont know what I am going to do with myself once the big day is over.

it was stressful at the beginning b/c fh wanted to do everything qat once... ...needless to say that stopped.. Thank God.. or else i'd prolly go absolutly crazy..all mjor vendors are booked though... it's just the little stuff i have to worry about now..

I've been having fun also. I've managed to book the church, hall and DJ and before the year is over possibly photographer and Video. That way I don't have to worry about them next year.

Its been stressful, got a few vendors booked but its kind of exciting and I'm happy i had two years ...well 1yr and a half now to plan. It kind of eases the stress.

I found myself wanting to book a.s.a.p because of the frustration of negogiating with vendors and hearing their speeches. I jsut wanted to find the 'one' and move on to the next task. Finding a florist was the hardest thing for me. I was tired of speaking with florists! I had the most fun looking for a reception location. I also jumped into buying my dress which I don't regret but wish I would have taken my time to enjoy the once in a lifetime process. Have fun ladies don't get too wrapped up in feeling like you have to book everything at once like I did. Anyways, Happy planning

Well, coming from NM, there is noo such thing as booking two years in advance. So this was something I was completely not ready for. So I booked the reception hall, which was the biggie. But I did not expect to have to start booking everything else...all these deposits really add up. So I've decided to start booking the rest after the holidays. Other than that..its fun....I love it!!!!

Mine has been good. I have been doing 1 thing at a time over the last 10 months. This web site has helped so much with the stress.

My planning started out a little ruff b/c we kept going back and forth with doing a DW. ( I think we changed our minds about three times)
After we decided on having it here... things started to come around.... there are still soem rough patches but I know when our day comes it WILL be beautiful!!!
Oh am I stressed... H*LL YEA!!!!!
Sometimes I can't sleep... b/c this wedding is on my mind 24-7.

i was stressed a couple months ago wedding was originally for 06 after some serious thought we did some cancelling and postponed, now i am enjoying it more b/c i know a lot more from speaking to people and all the great people here so its easier for now

i've been doing planning for the past 9 months...lol and still have 1 yr. and 3 months of planning to go! i'd say 90% of the time it's been FUN! i love learning more and more about wedding and the fun stuff you can do for weddings. (no one in my family has EVER had a traditional 'big' wedding before...usually just JOP)
the only time it's 10% not fun...is when we get stressed over the whole 'How the f*** are we gonna pay for all this?!' but eventually we realize we will handle it, and smile again.
