So I 'crashed' a wedding at my church today (NOW UPDATED w/ pics!)

I've never been to a nuptial mass before and since I'm having one, I thought I should go see one before my day. There was a wedding at my church today at 3pm.

The bride arrived at FOUR PM, yes one hour late!!! I later found out that the limo that went to pic her up didn't know how to get to her place etc. Long story short, they used RJ Exotic Limos (I took a pic of the sign on the limo!), so I'm just happy I didn't book with them!

The bride looked beautiful in an ivory gown. I believe there's an 06 bride who wore the same or a very similar dress. The BM's were in navy and carried mauve calla lillies - beautiful. Apparently the priest shortened the ceremony a bit because there is a 5:30pm mass and confession starts at 5pm, so they finished in 45 minutes.

Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. and I hope you don't mind that I witnessed your wedding! Here are some pics because who doesn't love looking at wedding pics

What a lovely wedding! Wonder if those are their kids? And, again, it goes to show that navy gowns and black suits/tuxes look good together. I'm having my bridal party in navy, although the guys are just wearing dark suits, not tuxes. Anyway, they had an amazing day for it. Imagine how worried that bride must have been last weekend! I feel so bad for the brides from last weekend, compared to this one.

I actually do the same thing... if I see a wedding going on at my church and I don't look like a total slob at the moment, I like to go in and sit in the back and watch... usually it makes me really emotional, even though i don't even know them!

Sorry - I'm sure they don't do this often, just speak to them to double check that they have actual directions to where you're leaving from and where you're going to. I'm sure it will be fine!

Oh and yeah, there was a delay because the bride arrive an HOUR late due to the limo getting lost (either on the way to pick her up or on the way to the church - not 100% clear).

The kids - I don't think they were the bride or groom's kids. I think the MOH was the little girls mom and I saw the little boy with his mom before the bride arrived.

The church is located in Manhattan - I know a lot of Catholic churches look alike, but I just think mine is so pretty since they redid the 'grounds' around the side of the church and the inside (altar area).
