and now I have 20/20 vision- I can't tell you how this feels - to wake up in the morning and be able to see what time it is!!! This is the greatest investment ever!!!

I had it done last Thursday, by Friday I was fine. A little dryness but they give you drops. Now a week later - my eyes feel totally fine.
were you able to go to work and use the computer the next day?
No - I took the next day off - my eye Dr. wanted to see me in his office to make sure everything was good - other than that I probably could have gone to work - but I would have had to wear the dark sunglasses - due to the sensitivity. And to answer that question I only had to wear the shades the one day - my eyes felt fine after that!

I'm too scared to have it done. I should but I am really scared. I hate even getting the glaucoma tests done at the eye doctor.

Is that the one where the blow air in your eyeballs... I hate that... it makes me nauseous.

I hadn't heard of this either - I'm sure its been done. Why wouldn't eyes be mature at 25??? Anyway I am 33 though so I really can't say.

wow I am so happy to hear this went so well for you! last tuesday I went for a consult at the stahl eye center in GC, could you fm any details that you have on the procedure, which dr. you went with etc. thanks so much! I am going back on tuesday for more tests (couldnt do it last week cause they could still see my contacts outline on my eye) I am so nervous of ending up w/ worse vision though!

I had mine done a couple of years ago at Stahl in Garden City...I'm so glad I did it. My vision is great! The only problem/side effect is that I have some night blindess and so it's hard for me to drive at night. But they warn you that this can happen if you have light colored eyes or big pupils. I'm still glad I did it though...because I don't have to deal with contacts or glasses again!
