Re: So i'm starting the
Maitre'D - I think it's $2-$4 a personWaitstaff - I do not know if you have to give them something besides what is given to Maitre'd (ie: if he splits with them or not)
Coat check: I think $.50 - $1. per coat depending on how big your guest list is
Valet parking: $1 per car (I've read you should pay it, but if you don't I don't think anyone will mind...I've never had it paid for me at weddings...then again I always tip anyway so who knows)
Florist: I read somewhere (here or otherwise) they don't need a big tip - $10 - $20 for the person that delivers them.
Limo driver: not sure
Priest: not sure but I think $100
DJ: not sure
Photo/Video: not sure

Re: So i'm starting the
I believe most limo places add in 15% gratuity. If that is in the contract no additional tip is required.

Re: So i'm starting the
I just read somewhere you are not to tip clergy or florist if they are owner.

Re: So i'm starting the
this is what I was toldMaitred- $1-2 per person
bridal attendant- same thing
florist- $20 delivery guy
limo guy- not sure how much- my friends uncle was a limo driver and he told her that they never see any money from the cost you pay out- so i will tip my driver depending on how well the service is
bartenders will get tips from my party all night guests
waitresses/waiters- i hears they do not see any of the house gratuity you pay in the contract- but rather they have a higher shift wage.... not sure on that one.
am i missing anyone? oh my photographer is the owner- husband and wife team-0 not tipping i dont think

Re: So i'm starting the
so besides the 20% or whatever that is added to your hall's bill- you still have to tip maitre'd and coat check person?what about the florist- besides the delivery guy? what about the people who set up the centerpieces and so forth?
do you tip photographer and videographer's assistants too?
do you tip musicians and djs too? how much?
what about if you have a 2nd caterer?
things are so complicated!!

banquet manager doesnt get tipped....matrd d gets tipped($1-$3pp)
bridal attendant gets tipped
alterboys($10-$20 each)
priest tipped($50-100)
limo driver(places add 20% grat) it doesnt always go to the driver though.
florist delivery person tipped($20 maybe?)..
dj/mc gets tipped($50-$100?).
photo/video should be tipped, (although not everyone does)($100person/$50assistant?)
...the owners dont need to be tipped.
---music, photo, video vendors should be fed at the hall..
