about my shower! I knew she wasn't going to be able to make it but I didn't know why. There were two possible weekends I though it would be. Well, we were talking and she mentioned a family party she had in September and emphasized (sp?) the date. Hmmm I really wanted it to be a surprise. I guess maybe it still will be.

Same here...we invited one of the groomsmens new girlfriends but she initally said no (b/c she thought his soon to be x-wife was going to be there) Even after she found out the x wasn't going to be there she still wasn't planning on coming. The day before the shower he texted me 'what time tomorrow?' and she ended up showing and not telling my mom who had gone through the trouble of making table cards!

I figured mine out before hand. but I knew a 'friend' (well now ex-friend) gave 4 different excuses as to why she couldn't come... and well, she confirmed the weekend by announcing her 'excuse' via facebook.

LOL just an FYI.. My friend something like that about a restuarant.. and I was 10000% that my shower was there.. LOL And guess what.. IT WASNT.. and I was SHOCKED!!!!
