I love my dress. Its beautiful. But it doesnt look the same as when I first tried it on. FIrst of all, when I tried it on there wasnt a drop waist. But that doesnt bother me so much. Right around my hips....the dress material PUFFS out. It make me look bloated.
The seamstress kept telling me thats the way the dress is. She also said it was going to look different than the sample because the sample was a 16 and my dress is a 4. So when I tried it on, I didnt get the full effect.
So I scuked it up. Then on the way home, as I was looking at the pics I started crying hysterically. because I dont like it- its not what I want! My mom and grandma said I look great..but I dont feel great. I feel like this one part is unflattering. Esp. when you look at it from the side angle you can tell its there.
So I called them to say I was looking at my pics and I'm not happy...I want this one part changed. The woman said it might be the slip..or it could be b/c its a different size). I'm going back Wed. 'to see what they can do'
I hope they can alter this...it makes me cry. A good seamstress should be able to 'flatten out' the puff right?

Part of me feelings like I'm being a drama queen....its just one part of the dress. But I was crying for over an hour last night over it. I'm just not happy. I hope the seamstress can change it.

I see what you mean about the puffy part. I am sure they can fix it for you. Your not being a drama queen. Keep on them until they fix it!

It looks amazing on you!! BUT, I think it's just the shape of the slip thats causing the puff part...I thnk if you fix the slip a bit you will be good to go! I promise, it looks amazing!

Your dress looks so great on you! Even with that puff, you still are totally GLOWING!!!!
I know what you mean about it, and you can KIND of see it in the sample dress too, but it's much FLATTER. Maybe from being tried on or hung or whatever. Maybe even just when it's all steamed and ready, it won't be there... But hopefully the seamstress can help you out and not make you feel like you're nuts.....

First let me say that your dress is beautiful!! And it looks great on you!! I do understand what you are saying about the puff. I think they should be able to fix that fairly easily.

I see what you are talking about, but only because you pointed it out!!! You look absolutely STUNNING in that dress! See if they can fix that one little detail for your own piece of mind, but regardless, it looks amazing on you!!!

IM SO SORRY Col. .. If that seamstress cannot fix that then she shouldnt be in the business .. That should be fixable. If she says theres nothing she can do Id bring it to another seamstress.

i'm sorry you had to deal with this though..i know how excited you were about your dress, and it should have been one of the happiest days of wedding planning..they should have warned you that could happen or something

aww colleen im sorry you feel that way you look so pretty in your dress.... but if im being completely honest it looks like it was doing the same thing with the sample.... maybe they somehow pull that part and make it tighter? or maybe its just the slip? either way i think youre doing the right thing by doing something about it nbow rather than waiting for the next fitting.... i hope they can do something to fix it!!!!!!!!!!

you're not being a drama queen -- it's your dress, you want it to be perfect!!! it looks beautiful on you and you look amazing in it! i see what you're saying about the poof but honestly, it doesn't make you look bloated at all bc you can tell that it's the dress and not your stomach! if you're not comfortable with it though, make sure they fix it for you! they should be able to do something to fix it
