they were actually extremely comfortable which i needed. I always wear heels but 6 weeks before my wedding, i fell and hurt myself and tore ligaments in my foot and was in a cast and on crutches, of course this would happen just a few weeks before. I wasnt able to walk at first at all but then after a few weeks i was finally able to walk again but i had to wear flats, I couldnt even bend my foot to put it into a shoe. INFACT none of my fittings was i able to try on shoes with the dress. The week of my wedding i was feeling a bit better and dr. said it would take 6 weeks to heal so right on time. The day before my wedding was the first time I EVEN tried on heels and i was able to actually walk again in heels, BUT they couldnt be VERY arched. So day before my wedding i knew exactly which shoes i wanted, and ran to buy them lol, it was a miracle I healed just right before the wedding. I was afraid though that since it would be my first time in heels after 6 weeks that i might have issues. The back even has an elastic so your feet dont rub right against the back of the shoe and I wore them all day and night and was comfy.

i was thinking of wearing something different too.. i would love to wear sneakers, since i wear them all the time & hate wearing shoes but my mom & sister would totally not allow this. plus FH would be so pissed if i did. so maybe a bright colored shoe is a good idea.

thats why i didnt run any of my ideas by anybody lol. I just picked everything myself and then let people know after, and honestly even if anybody didnt like something I was doing, I wouldn't listen. Hey they either had their weddings already or others will have their own one day, and looking back i want to say that I did everything i wanted to do, and not think ugh why didnt i wear what i wanted to wear instead of in something that i didnt want to do. I really didnt want white shoes so wasnt going to do something i didnt want just bc of others opinions, remember everybody will have their opinions about what you should do. Whenever someone said something to me like 'oh but wouldnt you like this instead its so nice or whatever they said' i would just turn to them and say ok thats nice go get married and do it yourself then.
Everybody did love the idea as far as my mom, DH, MIL and anyone close to me, but even if they didn't, it wouldnt matter to me. Remember its your day, you dont have to get permission to do things, just do what makes you happy, you want to look back and say you did everything the way you wanted

As long as I can where them again and they're comfortable, so white is probably out of the question! i was thinking about wearing funkier shoes too, like ones with rhinestones covering the heels
i swear if they actually made glass slippers i would be first in line.... so cheesy like that
