I'm not disagreeing with you, but a pharmacy is a private business and not the 'state' so they have a legal right o do whatever they want. I don't eat meat. If I own a gorcery store I have a legal right to not sell meat. I know that's oversimpplifying, but that's basically it. A pharmacy is like any other store and they have a right to carry or not carry whatever they want. If Waldbaums doens't have the brand of cereal that you like, you don't stage a protest, you shop at pathmark.
They don't have to give out birth control, and we don't have to shop there.
Prescriptions from Medicaid and Medicare are at least partially paid for by the government... Should they be allowed to pick and choose which meds are ok to dispense based on their beliefs?

I read about it in the Washington Post over Easter - it's not a new issue at all.
