so my job decided in the next few weeks to start monitoring internet use and blocking certain sites like youtube, myspace..etc.
how am i supposed to go on LIW??? now im restricted to only going on at lunch grrrrrr

That happend to me... luckily I have a friend in the IT department and he set my computer up to access from a different IP.. I am UNDETECTED.. yet my boss sits next to me all the time to read in here and look at dresses and stuff.. Go figure.. LOL!!

you do companies have to be such haterz! as long as we get our work done, they should just cut us some slack. it's just not enough time in the day to get every day done revolving work and personal life. do u have a laptop that you can bring to work, that's what I do sometimes.

My job blocked craigs list, myspace, and LI wedding but for some reason I can get on nycityweddings.com and read and post on the same threads. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you

I have been BLOCKED from LIW. But I found a loop pole. I go on through. www.nycityweddings.com. They didn't block that 1. HEHE

They probably blocked sites that came up in the history, so be careful, nyc could be next!!!
As an employer (that sounds so strange, still . . . . after two months) I'm fine with web-surfing, so long as the work gets done. I've always surfed and worked, and you can't hold employees prisoner so they hate being at work or productivity goes WAY down!!!

HAHA...we're not supposed to be on the internet AT ALL! But, here I am..with a pile of work on my desk and on here! HAHA The monitor it...so my manager lets me know when they are... and then once I get over to the IT dept I'll be living on here! LOL

Luckily my job does not care about that stuff. They only care about the work getting done. My boss knows I am on this site all day long.
