so my ex's bday is thursday..

i am so torn, some parts of me feel that it will b too hard to call him, other parts of me feel that i would ba horrible person to let the day go unacknowledged when i was the one who made it clear he shouldnt contact me..i really dont know what to do alot of pple think im crazy for even considering calling him cause he ended it with me, but i feel like the 3 years we spent together was 95% good, how can i let the day go without him knowing he still means something to me, i really feel so torn

Unless you want to try to reconcile, I would not contact him. Believe me, it is better to make a clean break. Talking to him will only hurt. Good luck!

I don't know all the details of how you guys broke up but honestly, I would not call him. If you made it clear to him not to contact you, then do not give in! Be strong!!!

he decided he couldnt handle being in aa relationship anymore b/c he didnt know who he was anymore..a bunch of bs among other things

It's funny, after my ex and I broke up after 4 years, I thought the same way on his bday. I didn't call, but I was convinced every year I would think of him on his birthday. 4 years later, I don't even remember what month his birthday was!

I wouldn't call. He ended it, had his reasons. If you keep him in the present, you won't be giving other potentials a fair chance because you'll have him on your mind.

I would not even send him a card. It will be hard but you can do it!!! Maybe you can make plans for that night so you are busy and not thinking about what day it is.

Don't call. Why give him the upperhand - he's going to know that he broke up with you, hurt you, but you still remember his birthday and call him for it?

Never give someone that much of an ego-boost - he doesn't deserve it.

oh lordy i wouldnt even ask that!! lol..more like happy bday hope ur not dead lol!!...

my biggest thing is..will he even appreciate that i called knowing how badly he hurt me..probably not..so its not even worth it..ur all right, as usual..thanks for the advice lol

there's no greater ego booster than telling an ex that you've moved on and found someone else and are happy. You could call and wish him happy birthday and he could say thanks but I have to run, my girlfriend and I are getting ready to go to dinner. Then you're crushed and he's drawn first blood. Trust me.

Wait a bot, if one of your two dates work out and you want to contact him for one reason or another, then fine. but don't give him the chance to strike first.
