So My Sunday Wedding... Freaking Out!(Spinoff to Gap)

I am starting to become so discourage that I am doing my Ceremony ON Sunday at 2:30...
(I cant choose earlier bc there is a Mass that ends at 1:30)
BUT....
Since I am having a Full mass i should be done around 3:30PM... Then pics at church & receiving ln So i guess we should be out of Church by 4:30...

SO FAR Cocktail HR starts at 5:30...
and TRUST me I am SOOO regretting This =-(

I think this will leave me NO TIME for PICS at all!!!!!!
NOTHING
I originally wanted Gantry Plaza Sta park bc I wanted the city background, but i cant bc of the time... Now I want the Beach and I dont think its a good idea bc Im scared that TONS of ppl will b at the beach...

SO my first INSTINCT is to Move the RH Time to 6:30....
BUT MY WEDDING IS ON SUNDAY WHICH MEANS PPL WILL WORK ON MONDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF I MOVE MY RH TO 6:30 I THINK PPL WILL LEAVE EARLIER N LEAVE ME N FH ALONE THERE =(
What would you do?

If you were my guest and my Ceremony was at 2:30PM & Cocktail Hr at 6:30-7:30 & Partyyy 7:30-11:30...
WOULD you stay til like 11:00pm/11:30 & enjoy My Special Day with me?
OR
WOULD Leave early (9:30) Becasue I AM SO DUMB on wanting a Wedding on Sunday!?
OR woudl you NOT come to the Ceremony & just come to the WHOLE reception?

PLEASE RESPOND... I AM FREAKING OUT AGAIN...

Sorry hun.

I'd probably keep the timing you have right now to make sure all of your guests stay. 11:30pm is pretty late on a Sunday. Can you do pictures before the ceremony? That way you can get in all the picture you want to take!

I didn't have a full mass - ceremony started at 3 in my church. We were done with receiving line, pics at the church (both inside and out), in the limos headed to our picture place at 4 oclock. Receiving line doesn't take too long - seems long when you're standing on it waiting for everyone to move.

I would skip the receiving line at the church and make quick rounds either at the reception or during cocktail hour... That would save you some time in between

My wedding ends at 10:30 on sunday night and I know some old folk will be leaving at 9:30 regardless of what time it ends so don't worry about them. Do you have OOT guests? they probably are taking monday off anyway, no?

Are there places to take pictures at or around your RH?

you and luis can step away during cocktail hour to take some pics too

How far is your church from your RH? Can you take pics at your RH during cocktail hour?

The people you care about will stay till the very end of your wedding. People leave early on Saturday weddings too (it's inevitable).

I would just do the best to make things work with the timeline you have now.

Veronica,

Keep the time line you have, simply take out the receiving line.
You are going way ahead of yourself. Don't stress it out. Trust me you will have enough pictures.

exactly! I was at a saturday night wedding in october and people still left at 9 30. Some people are just party poopers, it doesn't matter what day it is!

I am not sure...
I wish I woudl know if guest are taking Mon off...
Sometimes I think I am NOT that important for ppl to take their day off...

I know MOST of luis's fam will NOT take Mon off n will leave early i think
I dont kno my side...

No.. there are not so many places to take pics in my Rh.. I love my Rh but that is WHY its less $ not so many places to take pics.

your hall is close to Halls Pond Park which is nice. They have a gazebo by the pond. Very cute. skip the CH and take pics there...

My BFF got married on a Sunday, she had around 180 guests, and very few people left early. If they did, none of us really noticed. Some people took off on Monday, but most people didnt. Honestly hunnie, the people that matter most to you, most likely would not leave until the VERY end of the wedding. ON TOP THAT, on your wedding day ur going to be on cloud 9, ur going to be having such a good time and its going be a whirlwind of events that youre not even gnna notice or care if a few people leave early.

Also, I know the bride and groom usually take pics during the cocktail bc people dont normally see them until the grand entrance which doesnt take place until the actual reception. Not everybody does this, but its an option if you really wnna take pics.

Good luck mama!! Hope this helps!!

Talk to your photographer about this.

An hour after the completion of your mass is a very long time. I don't see you being there for more than 20-30 minutes.

Your photographer will help you get all the photos you need done in a reasonable time.

He/She can also help you find a place to take pics closer to the church/reception hall.

I don't think you have any reason to worry.
