Okay I am so sorry that my last like ten posts have been vents. But when you are like four months from your weddings, you will totally understand.
My sister went for her fitting today. This girl at the shop was like 'OMG you should have said no so you dont have to wear this dress' AND 'WHY WOULD ANYONE PICK ROYAL BLUE AND PINK!!' when my sister mentioned that the bride was her sister the girl kind of stopped.
My sister told me because she thought it was hysterical, but now I am second guessing my choices. Maybe people are BSing me bc they think like I am the bride and they are just trying to be nice?
It just really annoyed me! I can't believe the girl said that! My sister is really quiet and shy that is why she didn't say anything.
Here is the dress. It will be in Euro Royal Blue with a baby pink sash. I like them bc they are simple - I really didn't think they were ugly? But then again I have never seen any other girls use the dress OR the colors??
just be honest with me, you can FM me if you want to - is this dress terrible? do the colors not match?

I don't think it's ugly. How does it look on your sister, does it flatter her? What flowers are you pairing with it?

I think they are simple, elegant, will flatter many, and I think the pink sash will go beautifully. The pink will pop with the navy but in a way that will compliment it.
I just think it's some girl thinking she wasn't offending anyone because the bride wasn't there.
I'm only a year away and I'm already second guessing my color choices (and I haven't even bought anything in them yet). So that is normal. I say just choke it up to wedding stress and remember how much you loved it months ago when there wasn't any pressure breathing down your back!!!

That's my dress too (in black) so of course I think it's beautiful. But seriously, I chose the dress because I thought it was not only gorgeous in person, but that it looked gorgeous on all my BMs. It's sooo flattering. I would tell everyone to shove it and try not to let them bother you. I know it's easier said than done, but remember that you chose that dress because you loved it also. Don't let them second guess you.

I would tell ya, Tilde. Its a very pretty dress.
I don't know if I personally would do a pink sash (I would probably just use the same color sash as the dress),but that's just because I'm not a fan of baby pink.

I wore a blue strapless dress with a pink satin sash in a wedding a few years ago and it looked realllly nice. The style was totally different but the colors definitely compliment each other. You must realize, some people DO NOT HAVE GOOD TASTE so IGNORE THEM!!!!

i just couldnt believe it - that the girl thought the dress was SO ugly she had to go on and on about it . . .
i have to admit - on the hanger, it is nothing special but it looks great when its on! it is so flattering. . .
the girl said she never heard of royal blue and pink, but the funny thing is i was doing all royal blue until ANOTHER girl at the SAME shop suggested the pink!

Honestly, I really like it! I love the dress itself and in that blue color - it looks like it would be flattering and comfortable to wear and you could wear it again! And the pink sash compliments it beautifully. I wouldn't worry about what the girl in the shop said - some people's tastes are all in their mouths.

but if i saw some TERRIBLE dress i would probably make fun of it
so to this girl, this was like an over the top terrible dress!!! it just surprised me for some reason - not that everyone has to have the same taste as me. . .

You should go with what you like. Don't let others dissuade you from what you want. That being said, I think the dress is beautiful!! As for the colors, I love the contrast. I love a dark dramatic color with a much lighter accent color. People are just rude sometimes. I had a florist tell me she didn't think I should pair burgundy and white flowers since it will look too christmasy. Meanwhile all my colors are burgundy and white. I told her that when I first went in. *sigh*

I edited my original post bec I forgot to write it matched perfectly. Dont change the dress but you can always change the sash color if you like, any color will go with that deep blue
