so i walk into work to day to find a voicemail on my phone ...of two people that i work with ( one being one of my BM's) talking about me ! i guess they didnt hang up the phone correctly after one of them called me/ so i went to one of them and joked around about how i heard this and how if they are calling my 'her highness' then i should be getting paid a lot more if i am royalty! lol i was totally not bothered by the situation i just figured that they should know i heard their conversation. so then the other ones goes...Kim if you have a problem with me say it to my face ...i told her to grow up and stop talking about me she proceeded to try to push me out of the room by slamming me with the door!!!!!!!!! she was cursing at me and calling me a little gitl...meanwhile all i have done is help her since she has started here. now i am the type of person that if u put ur hand or anything on me i flip! somehow i kept my cool ...but now i know that she is trying to get me in trouble...i just want a new job and i am applying everywhere but am having no LUCK! i knw it was the girl that is my BM telling her something i said which probably isnt true also i want that BM out of my wedding so bad ...all she does is talk about me because i know for a fact that she is jealous of me becasue i am getting married and i moved up in the company. i cannot even begin to tell u how many problems she has caused me !
what the heck am i gonna do girls??? i cannot work like this anymore!

ok i wont say anything but the problem is ...her Best friend is a VP here and i know she told him because i heard her ...now the VP is good friends with the boss ! i'm screwed!
In that case, I would go in there to clear things up. Your reputation is on the line too... and personal or not, it's an issue in the office.

Right, she hit you with a door, but it was over a personal matter. I'm not condoning it (again, she's a b*tchface), but you'll make it even bigger drama if you bring your boss into it.
But hey....in the parking lot, I say you should beat her a$$
Boston Bonnie you're hilarious!
IMO, Kim, since you said that you know that the girl is trying to hurt you at the job, make sure that your boss is aware. Don't go into his/her office with the WHOLE story about the voicemail and argument but alert him/her that you're seriously considering leaving because of...
I think they'd understand and they might be able to help you solve the problem so that you can be more comfortable and so that they don't lose you.
However, if you plan on staying... just hang in there and be strong.
Good luck again!

I would tell my boss but I also have a close friendship with my boss so I don't know if I'd be telling her as a boss or as a friend. I don't think these girls should be able to get away with their behavior. But just thinking one step ahead...what would your boss be able to do if you did go to her about this. I work for a small brokerage company too and usually I'll voice a complaint and nothing gets done. I'd offer to give them your resume but if I start telling you stories of what goes on in my office, you'll probably feel very lucky to be where you are.

Ya I think you should definitely clear it up then. That really stinks that you heard her talking to the VP!!!
Don't speak to your boss today though since you're pretty upset. Think about it all tonight and have a talk with him tomorrow once you've 'cooled off'

Aww shucks, Jeanine
Kim, if this chick is talking smack about you to the VP, you HAVEEEE to tell your boss. If it didn't escalate, I would say 'no' to telling the boss.... but now? Wow. If she's going to be immature, you have to clear your name. 100%.

I don't neccessarily agree, (sorry!). If you go in there saying that you may leave because of this, than it will look weak like Bonnie said. Just let them know the very vague details of what prompted you to go in there... You just want to clear your name and level the playing field again. It doesn't need to be this big dramatic production... just go in quietly state your case and leave. After that, it will be done, squashed, OVER... and then you can focus on going home to watch True Life I'm a Staten Island girl!

Awwww. Kim, don't cry (although I probably would... I'm such a baby!). Once you talk to your boss, you'll feel 10x better.

i think you need to consider telling your boss - i am not sure what i would do personally. . .
my first boss at this job was a guy and he was so awesome i would have had no problem telling him anything
my new boss now is a woman and i think she would see me telling her as being weak
maybe you can alert the boss that something personal is going on and to please contact you if he catches wind of it. . . so he knows he can come to you. . . and that way he doesnt have to really on hearsay and he will feel comfortable coming to you asap
i am getting SO MAD FOR YOU! i cant believe this i thought we left this behind in high school!

WHAT!? Take solace in that. That there is actually a 40-something woman who STILL resorts to name calling. Sad.

LoL don't be sorry! You have a good point, and I didn't think of it that way! I guess it all depends on the relationship you have with your boss.
It'll all be okay Kim! I hope you're feeling better now!

Re: so pissed off today! VERY LONG
yes! Maybe at the 08 get together. Anyway the fact that this woman is 40 should make you laugh about the whole thing. I found through the immature woman I work with that when they are wrong and can't handle it, they tend to call you immature because psychologically it will tend to make you think you're wrong because you're in your 20's and they're in their 40's so naturally they must know more than you. Don't fall in to the trap of the 40 year olds!!!! Seriously, I've left the office in tears and it makes the women feel that they've won (mind you, my last supervisor was 60 and evil), women can be extremely manipulative.
