I am so overwhelmed with all this wedding stuff. My fiance and I have been looking at venues since last october and there seems to be something wrong with each of them. Either we like the outdoor ceremony location and hate the reception room or vise versa. My fiance wants to just book a place but I can't seem to make up my mind! We have looked at so many places I can't even think straight anymore. We put down a deposit at Green Tree country club and Im really having so many doubts. There aren't many positive postings about it and of all the venues they have the least pics. I spoke to the owner and he says I can always get my money back if i need to. I'm worried about the food, the ceremony, the reception, the money, the flowers the weather!! good lord you name it im stressing it!! Does anyone have ANY help regarding a venue that has outdoor ceremony and a nice reception hall with good food and great service! Even a positive review of Greentree or some pics!! Oh and a nice bridal suite because the one at Green tree is like a little office, not really much of a suite.

Westbury manor Woodbury country club - (i liked this place) Fox Hollow Jericho Terrace Swan Club - loved the Surf Club - weren't very polite so I said forget them GreenTree Country Club

Did you look at De Seversky? That is where we booked and we also wanted a outdoor ceremony, gorgeous interior, and nice grounds.
They have a back up ceremony site in the glass room in case of rain which is nice since it still feels like you are outside.
I was very stressed about it all before I booked the RH but I feel alot calmer now.
ETA: They are known for great food and AWESOME bridal suite!

If you are looking for a place in Nassau, I would recommend The Royalton at Roslyn Country Club. I am having my wedding there and I am in love with it! The Royalton is very elegant, amazing food, beautiful outdoor area, incredible bridal suite.......I can't say enough good things about it!! It's worth a try! Best of luck!!

East wind looks very pretty but its far. i live in brooklyn and my FI family lives in PA. So they will be driving down 3 hours as is. I tried finding middle ground for both families but things seemed to be out of our price range. Westchester, Mineloa, New Rochelle area are all within reason.

The Bayview House (captain bills) has AMAZING food and great service. It is beautiful. I am not sure if they do an outdoor ceremony- i know that cocktail hour is held outside on the deck.
as far as the stress just make sure you take a break every now and then. I know we like to try and get things done quickly because we are excited, but stressing out is going to have negative effects. Take some time and work on something else then revisit the reception hall in a few days

I wanted to book the Westbury Manor soooooo bad b/c I knew one of the girls that books them and sets everything up.. but it just wasn't OUR style.... figure our the style you want then go from there!

I want simple and Pretty. If the place looks all blinged out I don't mind that also lol. Truth is what I really wanted was a destination wedding, outdoors on the beach few close friends and family but due to certain family circumstances i'm unable to do that. When I saw Greentree I loved that it was by the beach, had an out door gazebo and I loved the inside. But i'm not sold on the place quite yet. it still has a few things im not crazy about. If I could have a garden near the water would be great. Am I all over the place with this? Sorry. I think since I had to change my original plan i'm trying to get the 'right' Idea of what I want out here. I know what i don't want. and that's a catering hall feel. If that makes any sense

The Fountainhead is highly recommended by a few people I know, but I've had no personal experience - it's in New Rochelle. Good luck on your search!

I only saw 3 places, Woodbury Country club, Fox hollow, and Crest Hollow, but i already new from pics WCC was for me! Outdoor gerogous, indoors also!

Wood bury was very nice we almost choose it but i didn't like the BM he was weird. they have a pretty out door area but you are only designated the half . We decided on crest Hollow, you can have an outdoor ceremony and our photographer told us that they are building this indoor atrium for indoor weddings and indoor pictures if the weather is bad

Land's End is beautiful- indoor and outdoor CH and outdoor Ceremony, on the water
Royalton - beautiful!!! has outdoor garden ceremony or terrace cermony & outdoor/indoor CH, menu is fully customizable and includes vienniese.
not sure if this is your style but Vanderbilt Mansion- has outdoor ceremony overlooking the water and outdoor/indoor CH.
I've seen about 15 places and havent booked yet soo, I feel your pain!!

Sorry you are stressed. Douglaston Manor has great food and service. They can you an outside ceremony overlooking the golfcourse. The Bridal Suite is beautiful.

the Fountainhead has no outdoor grounds to speak of. Its actually quite shabby on the inside and if you have a smaller wedding the smaller room isn't that nice. plus they make you use their florist and dj
