So stressed...long (just venting)

So stressed...long (just venting)

I was talking to FH earlier and told him I have a company softball game tonight. His comment was, 'Well it's good you didn't have one last night because you had to work.' I said, 'Well if I did have one I wouldn't have gone because of work. There have been other games earlier I just couldn't go because of stuff going on.' So he says, 'You're always doing stuff.' It wasn't in a bad way like he was mad, but it was something that just stood out in my mind, like wow, do I really do a lot? So I called him on my lunch break and asked him what he meant and he said that he never hears of me just going home straight from work and that I always have something to do - staying late at my job, working at my second job or class. He says I never really have time for myself. I know he's completely right. I really don't have much time for myself. Lately I've been having anxiety (and I'm not using the term loosely, I mean I'm super stressed out to the point where I can't sleep and it's all I think about) about my job. I really think I'm going to give myself an ulcer about it. FH said I'm probably just stressed between the house, wedding, work and the fact I don't have time for myself. I know I'm not stressed about the wedding or the house, I'm really excited about it. It's work that is making me sick to my stomach. I applied to tons of positions over a week ago and nothing I feel like I'm going to be stuck here and I can't take it. I had these feelings last summer with my old boss then she left and I was fine. Now I have a new boss and it's worse. Sorry it's so long, I'm just venting because I needed to.

Aww i am so sorry sweetie!!! You have to make some time for yourself... go get a mani/pedi or a nice massage.... nothing crazy, even if it is just for 20/30 minutes, just to relax.

for you and feel free to FM me if you just need to talk!

Im so sorry you're feeling like this. Well you took the first and right step by sending in apps for other jobs. I would keep on the job hunt so at least you feel you are being proactive in changing your perdicament.

Good Luck!!!!! Lots of hugs for ya!!!!!!

Are there any commitments that you could pull out of (at least temporarily) so you can have some time for your self? Like if theres a wedding task that needs to be handled could you ask one of your BMs to do it so that you can just go home and relax?

awww dont worry. You will find something else sometimes it takes some time. Try sticking it out a little longer. Im sure you need the money with the house and wedding. You think to yourself it will all be over soon - dont stress!!!

everyone gets stressed and need to vent!!!!

and everyone needs to find time to relax, so maybe you could get a massage or something to help you
(FM if you live middle suffolk, i know a great massage therapist and he is also an acupuncturist too)

as for your job, keep looking at you will find something, everything is slow right now just give a little time

Michelle I know exactly how you feel! I could have written an almost idential post. I have started so many times but just closed the screen!

I know how your feeling...I briefly talked about part of my stress on your post yesterday about closing. I also work two jobs so I know what you mean about not having time for yourself.

I actually experienced my 1st panic attack today while teaching my last period class. I was going over a final exam review sheet and felt my throat closing up and I couldn't breath or swallow. My students wanted to get another teacher but I told them I'd be okay.

There is just sooo much! FH's grandmother is in the hospital...she had a minor stroke...I just can't take anything else!

Just try to breath and think it will all be over soon! I'm so looking forward to the honeymoon...no more stressing over will my bm's dress fit her...will lilttle Johnny throw up on my gown at the wedding etc!

Take it easy and remember...yes you need to have a job because we all need the money but you have to be happy where you are. Also, remember that if you do feel overwhelmed take a day to just relax and concentrate on what you need to do for yourself because no one is going to worry about you when you get yourself sick!

to you! You're not alone!

I'm sooo sorry for totally gushing out my problems on your thread!

Re: So stressed...long (just venting)

I remember how stressed I was when I had two jobs and school ... it was really hard but I decided that I had to stop my second job because I was too overwhelmed and school was suffering because of it.

Try and take some time for yourself , and do not make any more plans/commitments if you can as hard as it is, sometimes we have to be selfish in order to preserve sanity
