So, the response date passed and....

So, the response date passed and....

I'm only missing a few RSVP's, but the biggest one is still missing. My brothers. I guess he has decided that he doesn't want to come. I was kind of expecting this, but it still REALLY hurts. I never thought in my life that I would only have three of my four brothers there. I always loved a picture from my sisters wedding of her sitting in a chair and my four brothers sitting there, kind of like mafia style brothers, guarding over her. I never thought that someone so close to me could be so mean hearted and uncaring. No matter who is there and what happens, this will leave a cloud over my wedding. No matter what is said and no matter what is done.

I had to have my dad hand deliver his wife and children a seperate invitation because she said that he never even showed her the invite. I had to be the better person and call her and explain that I didn't include an RSVP card in her seperate invitation because I expect her to be there, even though everytime I see her or one of their children on my day, I am going to be completely miserable.

To top it all off, Dan was sort of evicted from his apartment three days earlier than expected. We weren't going to move in to the new place until today (Saturday) but his ex landlord turned sour and said we had to be out early because he needed to fix the place up to sell it. Even though he didn't have a legal leg to stand on, we moved anyway, just to be rid of him. So, Dan, who doesn't like sudden changes, is completely miserable, and in turn, so am I. So on top of all my other issues, I have to deal with a FH that is flying off the handle at the slightest issues. I am completely miserable. I am sorry that I ever thought that this would be a happy time in my life, cause it really isn't. I really have no patience for anyone. I really don't care what other people say. I really don't like anyone.

This is SUCH an emotional time for all of us. Try to focus on the most important thing -- you're marrying the love of your life. In the end, the only people that have to be there are you, FH, and the person performing the ceremony.

Please try to settle into your new home and enjoy it and look forward to your future.

Bonnie-Jean, I'm so sorry that your brother couldn't put aside whatever it is he's feeling and do the right thing and RSVP yes to your wedding.

I know what it's like to have family and/or friends disappoint you on a big day. As much as it hurts right now, is as happy as you will be marrying Dan. At the end of the day, that will be all that is important.

Hang in there sweetie!!

I remember how moody and emotional I got leading up to the wedding. Just remember that you're marrying the love of your life!
