Crap! Did you ever go up there in person to demand to speak to the BM face to face? This really sucks. You and your FH don't need this type of foolishness when you're busy dealing with your health! Could that be a complaint for the Better Business Bureau as well?

Its so sad to hear how insensitive someone can be to your situation. I also have a heart issue and know how you feel to not be able to do something you really want to. They should have more compassion..and besides..its the LAW!! Go kick some butt in court and stand on principal (obviously the $3000 wouldnt hurt either!)
