I have seen pics that Duet took at St Pats and they are beautiful. I am getting married their too and I am not worried at all because of the pics I have seen. i would talk to your Photog....cause if others are getting the shots he should be able to figure it all out too

Listen, your photographer will be fine. I got married there in October. And really the rules only state that the photog cannot be on the alter (and why would you even want him/her to be?!). I have pictures of myself walking up and down the aisle, front and back. Pictures of each reader, pictures of us sitting at the alter, saying our vows. You'll be fine, trust me.... Oh and Phyllis didn't stop the ceremony once... she sat behind my BMs off to the side.

Did you get the diagram and the rules from the church, I'm getting married there too and from the diagram they give you and the rules they set out I there should not be a problem getting all of the essential shots that you want. I'm not upset about that part, I'm more upset about the fact that the flowergirl can't toss petals and that you can't toss petals outside the church. I wouldn't worry about the photo part, if your photographer is good he'll be able to get what you want.
thats ridiculous. Why cant the photographer take pics of you coming up the aisle?
WOW, I just saw this, that's horrible! I really hope that it all works out...I know that some churches are really really strict, when we were visiting photogs, they all naturally asked what church we were getting married in, and once we said it was a greek orthodox church EVERY last one was like thank god, they're the only ones that let us do whatever we want!

Every wedding I've been in, and mine as well, the church is like that. The wedding is about the ceremony so it should be sacred. But, they will let you restage it after the fact for photos.
