So all I did was send a message on facebook to an old roomate from college that I lived with for a year...I asked her if she was coming, and this was the response I get
U kno tess, I think it's so funny how when it comes to your wedding you are relentless in looking for a response. Yet the number of times years ago myself and others tried to call you get together with you etc you never even returned phone calls. I don't know oif I'm going to your wedding because you haven't been much of a friend a true friend for years now and I'm pissed that unless it's about you,you don't care to keep in touch at all.
it's just very hurtful and shocking to get a response like that because it's untrue..this girl forgets the time she needed someone when she was having bf problems and I was there for her...I'm the kind of friend that if you need me, I'll always be there and to get a response like this is just a slap in the face...it makes me feel so bad because here I am being nice inviting this girl bc she was a part of my life and this is what I get

it's just so upsetting you know...I just told her I guess it's a no and I said i thought i was being nice by sending you an invite because you were a part of my life, but i guess that goes unappreciated (I was trying to stay classy) my mom told me i should have just said fuc*k you!
it's just real hurtful bc I'm the type of friend that even if we don't talk for awhile and you needed something, i'd be there for you without thought

Hmmmm... a simple 'I can't make it' would have sufficed. If she was so concerned that you guys weren't spending time together over the years there are different ways to approach it. I wouldn't even want her at my wedding at this point.

I totally know how you feel. It's not easy to keep in touch with people after college. I rarely speak to my old roommates, but plan to invite them to the wedding and would expect they would invite me as well.
You are the better person for responding nicely. Dont let it upset you. The people that matter most will be there

i just feel like she could have said it a little different...i felt attacked and i don't like that..she's definitely not coming to the wedding, she is definitely uninvited, i'm waiting for her response...i don't need someone like that in my life

wow what a terrible person. sounds like she just wanted to get the last word in, I would count her out and if she shows there won't be a seat for her. now that would be embarressing for her...
