Re: So where is everyone REGISTERING?

Fortunoff, love the store and my ring sparkles so pretty there - check yours out in the crystal gifts dept. You'll see what I mean. Also they have great sales on china/ flatware and other stuff throughout the year.

Bed Bath and Beyond, lots of locations and lots of 20% off coupons. Excellent return policy.

Re: So where is everyone REGISTERING?

check out BED BATH & BEYOND... they were great... everyone said it was easy to shop off the registry, helpful employees, and they wrap everything so nicely... you get 10% off anything left after the wedding and can return any gift u get off the registry w/o a receipt if needed...

Re: So where is everyone REGISTERING?

Bloomies, because it was the only dept store that was in both NY and Illinois. Lord and Taylor's is too but they don't have a housewares dept or a registry.

Bed bath and Beyond, becaue they have great prices, they're everywhere, they ahve 20% coupons and an awesome return policy that gives cash back!!!

Re: So where is everyone REGISTERING?

I registered at Fortunoff's and Bed, Bath and Beyond.

I went to Macy's first, but the customer service was terrible. So I went to Fortunoff's and they were FANTASTIC!! Everyone was so helpful!

I chose Bed, Bath and Beyond - b/c they are all over and we had several out of town guests, they have those awesome 20% off coupons that NEVER expire (even though the say they do they will take them!!!) and when I went back to return some stuff they gave me back $300 in CASH!!!

Can't beat that!

Good luck!

Re: So where is everyone REGISTERING?

Macy's, because there are stores in TX, DC, and NJ where a majority of family and friends are, and Williams Sonoma, lots of locations an great stuff! Both have wonderful online registry sites, so that is another requirement that both fulfill.

Re: So where is everyone REGISTERING?

I am definitely in the minority here but I registered at a LOT of places
There were some stores that just do not carry things that we wanted or are less convenient than others. Here goes:

Bloomies (housewares like pots and pans, kitchen electronics, bedding, towels, luggage, accessory pieces like vases and stuff)

Fortunoffs (a rug, other kitchen stuff) - we only registered here to get the discount off the rug after the wedding but it went ona crazy sale so we bought it a few months ago. Some poel like going there so we added a few things to round it out more

BB&B (kitchen gadgets, vacuum) they have a great return policy and our guests can use those 20% off coupons

William Sonoma (specialty kitchen items and kitchen towels) I always had a dream to register there so I did!

Michael C. Fina (china, crystal and flatware) discounts EVERYTHING in the store!!!

The Mango Tree - a specialty gift shop in my mom's town - kind of like Michael C. Fina (vases, platters, serving pieces, the rest of our crystal and flatware that was not bought elsewhere)

A lot of people will tell you not to double register at stores so you do not get duplicates. I actually disagree with this statement. The purpose of registering is to get the items that you ewant. if you knoe half your guests are going to shop at one store and the others are going to shop elsewhere, just monitor your registries and take off things as they get bought. We registered for our glasses and flatware at a few places and we have still not gotten most of it. If we get doubles or things we really can not use, we are returning them so we can get things we need, like forks and glasses!
