So Worried-FMIL is in hospital--UPDATE

On sunday, I went with MOH to book florist and when I came home, FH was on the phone with FBIL in Phoenix. I later found out that FMIL has been suffering from memory loss, blurred vision and starting to stutter. FH went to Connecticut to brong her to the hospital yesterday. The did a CAT scan and found a large mass on her brain. They then did an MRI and they'll find out the results today. He just left to go up to CT again. He's being very strong and realistic-I'm the one who started crying when he came home last night!

I didn't want to bring up the wedding, but he did. He said he hopes she's ok and if she's not, that she'll be able to see us get married. I said, should we cancel it? He was like no way. I feel so bad...

So I just spoke to FH. It's an inoperable brain tumor. The prognosis is not good. Thanks for all of your prayers and support.

I am so sorry! My sister in law (brother's wife) went through the exact same thing with her mother - symptoms were the same and prognosis. All I can say is, GET A SECOND OPINION as soon as possible. My SIL's mom was in a hospice for two months before they got a second opinion and then they were told it WAS operable and did the operation. They wasted so much time. You just never know.

Oh, I'm so sorry. That's terrible.

My FMiL died of breast cancer this past Thanksgiving. It was so hard for my FH. Still is, with the wedding coming up.

You have to be strong for your FH. So many guys don't feel like they can show emotion, that it's not manly--just let him know that you're there for him, whatever happens, and whatever he's feeling. Hold his hand--whenever things get difficult, even if my FH isn't showing it, I take his hand, and I know he appreciates it. Sometimes he squeezes really hard. I can't make it better, but at least I can do that one thing for him.
