Is the soho album worth it? We have 40 pictures in an 8x10 album
the Soho digital books would $650 for 8x12 vertical or horizontal book with 50-60 pictures
$1000 for 10x12 or 11x14 album with up to 100 pictures.
The soho books allows you to do 2 panoramas on 2 pages

Well are your pics more suited to the soho style, i.e. photojournalistic and detailed or are they more traditional posed shots?
I think the style of photos can help you pick the album style. We are in the process of narrowing our photos too. We have 50 included in our package but I think we have narrowed it down to about 75 that we like. We need to cut some photos out.
We are going with a traditional book, but I still have some amazing detail shots too.

Who are you getting your album through? I would say if you have alot of photojournal shots go for the 8x10, it will be worth it in the long run.

I may be wrong but they are the coffe table ones. Some photographers may also call them magazine style. The pictures are flushed and matted.

the soho album sounds nice, even though i really don;t know what it is, sorry i can't offer any advice. Are u considering getting the soho album through your photographer, or are you working independently? I only ask because I need advice myself, I love my photographers (Willi Wong) photos, but i think his album layouts are awful! so I want to get my album through someone else. do you think i could get the soho album independently?

the size of the book SHOULD NOT dictate the amount of photo's... I have a 9x9 soho and a 3x3 (both exactly the same layout)
The amount a pages dictate the amount of photos - 90-100 pictures is the best for this type of album.
If you wanted the entire album to be panoramic - The soho album has endless possibilities
