So as many of you know i am having work done on my teeth...i am getting worried tho. I can not afford implants and my teeth are very badly damaged. I have soft enamel that ruined them as well as not having enough room in my mouth for all my teeth so they are all broken.....well i am getting a denture put in. its my only resort. Maybe down the line one day i can get implants. I am a little sad being 26 and needing a denture , i am trying to look on the bright side...i wont be embarassed to smile anymore. I am trying really hard but it is tough. I keep reminding myself ' this is irreversable once its done' i know its gonna look 100000 times better than it does now but i am still a little worried.......so i guess i am happy and scared at the same time. I will hopefully post pics of my swoolen but smiling face over the weekend.

Thats awesome news!!No one will know they are dentures- dont worry.
Implats are great, but they are like $3000 per tooth AND they have to drill a post into your jaw bone- hurts like hell and not very fun.
Its awesome that you will be able to feel comfortable smiling again! Cant wait to see pics. Good Luck!

I mean there not bad now but i do have an overbite and he wants to fix that before the wedding. SO he said he can definetly do it!! I am excited!!!

about how much were your braces and how long are you keeping them on? i want to check them out but not sure if 1 year is long enough - my teeth arent that bad but i want them to be perfect! its my dream to have a perfect smile!

They cost me $6K. Its expensive but worth it.

Oh you'll feel so much better once they're in. I had total mouth reconstruction a few years ago. I have 8 implants and 2 fixed position bridges. I love my smile now because I know what its like to not smile ever because you're emabarassed. Cant wait to see pics

they have this new thing...only select dentists have it. its called snap on smile. I wasnt a candidate for it but aybe some of you will... its a peice that fits OVER your exsisting teeth so that your gaps or crookedness doesnt show! its 1500 per arch you can use it whenever you want. When you go out, for the wedding, or whenever you just need a little smile pick me up! just thught id mention it

Heather, you're gonna look fabulous. The way your face lights up when you smiles already gives you a smile 100 times more beautiful than some people i know with 'perfect teeth' I can understand why you're nervous, that's totally normal, and i'd be surprised if you weren't nervous. Everything is going to be fine, you're gonna look great! and no one but you and the people you tell will know it's a denture.

I am not sure if the total cost but i don't pay anything, my company pays for all dental work. But he said that my teeth will improve with in the next 8 months and if i need them on even longer he will take them off for the wedding and then put them back on for me after if i want. lol its funny having 2 surgeries in 1 week lol i feel like a monster all these tests and things comming out of my body and then in to it lol its funny! but id rather get it all donw before i go back to work

I know I am 26 and didn't really want them but i wanted to correct 1 tooth and he was liek oh we can do this and this and now i am getting braces. he said invisaline is good but i couldn't get it to correct my overbite.
