Re: Calling all girls who've been on cruises!
sorry... it was posted wayyyy before i was finished with it... dunno why that happened LOL
yeah, maybe thats even more of a reason not to get a balcony (just in case of a storm) LOL... a week in aruba is the other part of our HM
well....I had the whole balcony thing on the top level on a cruise and a storm hit and waves were literally crashing into my room...mos thorrible trip of my life...I would check the timing..i think you are ok with aruba.....other than that...honestly...the balcony is no big woopy.....I would check however to make sure you are getting a big bed or two beds that can be put together so you can actually sleep with your man.....I just read a post from another bride who booked a room only to find out they had single beds that could not be moved together! THat would be bad! lol With the economy the way it is...i think $600 can be spent on activities on your day trips or fancy things rather than a balcony....IMO

honestly- save the $600- if you will be at port each day, it doesnt sound like you will have much time to enjoy it- we used to eat our breakfast on there when we were at sea and sometime sit out at night- but there is too much to do when you are in port to waste that time- jmo

i would hoestly save the money and get a regular room. when we go on cruises we are hardly ever in the room, theres just so much do do all day and night around the ship.
i would save the 600 and use that for your booze bill!

I really don't think it's worth it, but then DH and I got an interior cabin for our cruise b/c we didn't even think it mattered--we knew we wouldn't be in the room much anyway, at night we would be out and about on the boat, at the various bars and things....we were really only in the room to sleep, enjoy our HM , and shower and get dressed! I would save the $$!

being able to get it on out on the balcony intrigued me though... lol but is that view worth all that extra money? lol prob not...
ETA: the inside rooms on this ship are 119 sq feet... we had that on our 1st cruise and it was seriously way too tiny.. im not gonna downgrade for the HM like i'd normally for any other cruise haha ...

omg! thats horrible! crashing waves over the balcony def isnt cool! ive been on a cruise to bermuda once and crossing the atlantic was bad enough that they had to shut down the roulette table cant imagine being on a balcony at that time!
