some advice please.

Well, I have posted before but

I told FSIL that if my dresses weren't ordered by August 1st I would need to pay for RUSH shipping ( ok not true but you will see why i had to say that )

Well, of course she tries to go ON AUGUST 1st but Lillette's is closed, so luckily i called her and told her and she said she will go on AUGUST 2nd.

Fine, I picked out the dresses TWO MONTHS ago and I am just waiting for her ( she is not in the wedding, her daughters are my Jr BM and FG ) - I sent out a BP newsletter with ALL of the information and I have been talking to her about it.

She calls me on AUGUST 2nd and asks for the name and address of the store! fine. She calls up and gets an appt for MONDAY (today) so i call BACK and say basically 'if she doesnt come in now i know she wont come in PLEASE let her come' they said sure no problem

i call her BACK and tell her to go in any time after 2:30 and then she tells me that her sister is on the NORTH shore and she is by her house so she cant go but meanwhile the original 'plan' was supposed to be that she was definitely going that day!

so she makes an appt for today - i called her twice and she didnt pick up and then i called up Lillette's and GUESS WHAT? NO ONE SHOWED.

i feel like crying/screaming. FMIL is on vacation and FH wants to call her ON vacation to tell her to say something. I called to ask for FBIL cell number ( FH's brother ) but FH said to talk to FMIL instead bc FBIL is stressed. I think i am going to wait until FMIL gets back from vacation

but as G*D as my witness on August 12th that order will be placed and those two girls will NOT be in my BP and if anyone has a problem. well i just dont care anymore.

That’s crazy!! That’s so amazingly inconsiderate of her, I hope it gets worked out!

You have your deadlines and you can't make yourself crazy arranging and rearranging for inconsiderate people. Why should other people have to wait, pay a rush fee, be held up just because she can't get her act together.

I agree with you 100% on placing the order on 8.12.

I say place the order on the 12th wit or without them...that is rude and ridiculous I am sorry for you

You can do all that you can do.
I think you are being way too nice to pay for the express shipping. =(

Im going through the same thing, and if they dont make their way over there., let them choose to make the express shipping payment.

she canceled when we were supposed to go together for the dresses and she 'confided' in me that she didnt have the money and i felt TERRIBLE about it but then she told me Friday she is going to get $75 extensions put in her hair for no reason. . . .

its so crazy how rude people can be!! they seem to only think of themselves.. its just one day to go get a dress it's not like ure asking for a kidney!!! lol.

Exactly. One frigging day. And it's for her brother's wedding. Give me a break. Sorry Tilde, definitely place the order - don't wait.

I'm with you. but is there a chance that maybe she doesnt have the money right now? having to buy 2 dresses might be tough for her.

yeah i know!!! i felt so guilty about the money situation but then i sit there and listen to her tell me about getting extensions and i was like what?

anyway, thanks for the support girls i feel better and i feel great bc FH is 100% with me on this one - he just doesnt want to stress his brother out so we are going through FMIL who is always 100% supportive ( when it comes to helping me out with FSIL)

i think it will be for the best if they arent in it bc this is just hte beginning, they will have probably two fittings, picking up the dress, rehearsal dinner, and the day of!! i guess it is just too much for her!!

tilde did you plan on paying for both the girls dresses????

if you did, i would just go pick up the girls, say i'm coming to get them to take them to get measured and give her 2 or 3 times to choose from. If she can't manage to do that, then I would just go on without them and when she finally comes around to asking tell her I'm sorry it's too late and give the girls something else to do (bubbles program etc.)

If you weren't paying for the dresses, I would go with the latter part and if they don't go and get fitted and do everything, then let your FMIL deal with it. Don't stress yourself out and put everyone elses orders in.
