Some bad news

I am so sorry to hear about you canceling your wedding. I give you credit for sticking to what you wanted and making the decision. Better to do it now and wait until things are better and you are happy. You want to go into your wedding day as happy as you can possibly be! Good luck to you!

I'm sorry that you had to make such a tough decision! I think you did the right thing though, You need to marry someone who is ready to commit to you in everyway. Its not healthy to have your parents in your buisness 24/7! Thats what happend to my cousin...her hubby's mom was always in their buisness and he could never say Boo to his mom, they got divorced 6 months later!
Everything happens for a reason! I hope things turn up!

Thanks so much ladies... I feel much better hearing you all say that I am making the right decision. I never thought I would be able to make such a decision. I always thought of myself as needy and afraid to be alone. This is a true test as to who I really am, and I am so happy that I found the strength to make this choice. I am going to miss all of you though. You have been great. And I wish you all the best in your marriages, and weddings to come. I am so sorry that it had to come down to this, but as I remember from your previous posts, this was something that weighed you down from a long time ago...I give you a lot of credit for doing what you did and I am really amazed by your strength and courage. You need your life to be peaceful and filled with love and happiness, not constant fighting and arguing and worrying about people who have so much influence on your husband. I wish you the best of luck and happiness sweetie, and I pray that all works out for you.

I hope everything works out for the best. There are so many brides out there (here and on the knot) that vent about the same issues, but just accept it. I can tell you from seeing friends who were in the same situation and went through with the wedding that it doesn't get any better. Good for you for being strong enough to make a really tough decision.

So sorry!! That is why I broke up with an ex- his mother made all the decisions and he listened to her ideas over mine- I knew it wouldnt change and we were together for over 4 years!! It was a hard decision but the best one I ever made! Things happen for a reason and if it is meant to be it will work out or things will work out for the better some other way!! You are a very strong person to be able to do this!!
