some checks and a whole slew of frustrations!!

Hi Ladies,
so we are beginning to check a lot more off the list. We finalized our Channa Plaque (pic is in the album) and it shipped yesterday! :) My brooch bouquets for myself and bridesmaids are in their final production phase and will be shipped 2/5 :) They look AMAZING!!! If you would like the vendor name FM me!
Also- we set up a day to look for bridesmaid dresses on 3/31 :) can't wait!! My mom and MOH are beginning to look at shower places too!!!

and for my frustrations: i got stamps yesterday and we are mailing our STDS this week since postage is going up. However- my dad just added 14 more people to the list!! Our minimum is 130 we now have 172 :( ugghhh hope to get no's when the time comes! He said he will be paying for those extra plates but its still frustrating. We are having our wedding in the cocktail hour room at Flowerfield because we like it better than the ballroom and it can hold a max 144 for a reception so I better get a lot of no's! ugh so frustrating!!! I can't take it. My mom always has some sort of snarky comment and was like well then don't invite your friends- um hello ***! I don't even like my extended family!!! ughhh so frustrating

and then I'm so frustrated with FH. I had a huge fight with him. He is always SO NEGATIVE about everything. I can't take it. Any time I bring something up he has a negative comment and now claims 'I'm judging his character' Um no all I said was your negative all the time. and I got even more upset because any time I bring something up for the wedding hes like no we can't afford that (meanwhile we can we don't even use credit cards and aren't using them for the wedding) and we put 2k a month aside for the wedding/ future living arrangements since June 2013 and we only need to contribute 18k to the wedding and still have a little more than 10 months to go.
ughhh hes so frustrating sometimes!!! everyone is just frustrating me lately. I can't stand to be around ANYONE!!!!!!! I'm just so done lately I could scream!!!

ughhhh and partly because PMS is in full swing and will only get worse as this week goes on!!!!!! ughhh shoot me now!!!!!!

I'm sorry you're so frustrated.

FH has been making me crazy as well. I just think the wedding process is very overwhelming and a big adjustment. I think everyone goes through it.

So sorry you are frustrated. Vent away, that is what we are here for, other than making suggestions and being your cheering section.

haw4 is right, it is part of the wedding process, and it is hard to remember sometimes that it is a process and things will change as we go. This is also a learning experience for many of us as most of us have never been married before.

It is difficult having someone negative in your life, my FH can be, but he is also helping me plan and get things done as this is his wedding too. He fluctuates between negative and frustrated to positive and looking into things but it always looking forward to the day we are married.

Breathe, Good luck and try to enjoy the process.

FH can be the same way when it comes to money, because he is just shocked by all the numbers. This is the first year that we are not students and we have never committed to spending this much money ever. But, I track the bills and the savings, I know what is in our range, so I just have to talk some sense into him sometimes! Guys are more black and white than we are. Maybe you need to show him numbers, on paper, in his face, so he cant deny the fact that you are in the safe zone.

Also, try to do something that he can get into. For us, that meant cake testing and tuxedos. Now, no, this did not get him to magically appreciate us paying $1800 for flowers, but it did get him to envision the day, and realize that its all coming together and the money is worth it! Oh, honeymoon research too!

I haven't done ANY of these things yet, is waiting until June too late or are you just getting them out the way?

Don't stress it is apart of the process but you have to watch those numbers.
