Recently, someone very close to me,'lurkers', was told of a conversation, and thought it meant she would be getting an e-ring at Christmas; Tonight, she said the 'ring buyer' told her to check out a jewelry website ( where he usually gets jewelry- his friend works there) She showed him the ring she wanted, and he said he didn't like it!! Then he said, he isn't buying her diamonds for Christmas!! Is he faking it, to throw her off track?? I don't know but she's one depressed puppy tonight!! They've been together for three yrs. Mary MOB

oh no... I would be depressed too! hopefully he is just trying to throw her off track.. If you know any of his friends try to get one of his friends to tell you~

I asked Donna, if he knows about this site, and she said she didn't think so. So, it's my other Daughter, Donna. She is with one of three Brothers. She will be in the wedding of the one Brother and fiance, this Sat. She and the fiance, and girlfriend of the other Brother are very close!! Donna's guy had a chat with his jeweler friend, that someone overheard and told Donna. It was about THE RING, and it sounded like he was going to get her one for Christmas, but now she's not sure, and doesn't want to get her hopes up. Last year she went through the same line of thinking, and what he said was what she got... no diamond, but another piece of jewelry. Mary MOB

It sounds like because something was mentioned she's going to expect it all the time. Hopefully she gets it for Thanksgiving!

awwww I've been with FH for over 7 years so I know how it feels to think he may be ready to ask and he isn't. it's not very fun at all...especially when they give you hints that make it seem like it possibly could be. but when it happened...I forgot about the few times i thought 'hmmm maybe he will...'

The problem is he keeps saying things that make Donna think he's serious; It's been thought he's feeling the pressure of his younger Brother's marriage, and is just saying things to pacify Donna for the time being. She has made it a practice not to bring the wedding issue up, but just try to be patient, but understandably, when she hears stuff, it gets her hopes up again. Mary MOB
